My apologies for screaming after church, but one of my oldest and most precious friends Darla was in town! If you are lucky, you will have a friend like Darla. I am blessed to have been bonded to Darla through just about every life event. While we live in different cities, we always pick up right where we left off. Our 3 hours on the phone this week did not seem time enough. I love you big D.💕and can’t wait to spend time with you. So happy God has blessed me with your friendship.

When creativity, great conversation, fabulous women, incredible worship and The Word of God come together, you get Tallowood Women’s annual Table Grace! Huge thanks to @darlabaerg for delivering an impactful message and ensuring we all identify our “Plate People” and be one to others as well. And, to @breadsandspreadshtx for always being ready and willing to accept all of my brilliant ideas, no matter how over the top they are! I mean, Jesus is in ALL the details! 🙏🏽🩷 #powerofprayingwomen

Hey everyone! Welcome to an epic Try It Tuesday!

A couple of months ago, @southwestair offered a free companion pass for the Fall if you completed a round trip flight during May. So, I decided to go to Dallas to see bestie @darlabaerg!! I left early and got back pretty late. It was a FANTASTIC day, starting with brunch at Sodelle’s, a visit to The Exchange, a photo op with a ‘65 model car and our new friends from Jordan 😂, a visit to the George W. Bush Presidential Library (and I showed her where I worked!), smoothies, play time with Oakley, and lots and lots of talking!! It was SUCH a fun day and totally worth it. #tryittuesday

Have you ever flown round trip to score a free ticket?

The girls (& guy) finally got their names added to the coop! If you would have told me hens could know their names, I wouldn’t have believed it until I had these girls. 🐓 🦃

Today I am pleased to award @darlabaerg with a Friendship Lifetime Achievement Award. Twenty-five years ago today, she and Bill invited me to lunch after church to introduce me to “a girl I think you’ll like” from Darla’s Bible study group. Only later did I find out Darla had never directly met Sylvia and had to introduce herself to arrange the date. I’m glad Darla is just that presumptuous, because 15 months later Sylvia and I were married and now after 25 years, four kids, and four weeks of quarantine, we still love being together. Thanks, Darla, for being so bold all those years ago! #truelove #truefriends

Just spent 3 fantastic days with this amazing friend at the #writebrilliant conference. We laughed, learned a TON, and we were challenged and equipped to take our dreams to the next level. Thank you, @mafeinberg and @jonathan_merritt for hosting such an outstanding event. Grace and peace to both of you from this fan for life. (And of course, huge thanks to @bethmoorelpm for shining her light and sharing her gifts in such a wonderful way.)
