Discover how Karate Boogaloo @karateboogaloo came up with the title for their new album, 'Access All Areas'. Find out why keeping things fun and playful in the studio is essential to their creative process.

Go behind the scenes with Karate Boogaloo @karateboogaloo as they break down their unique, jam-based songwriting process in the studio. Find out how this tight-knit Melbourne crew creates everything from scratch together with zero outside input. Watch the clip now to discover the chemistry behind one of funk's most organic instrumental bands!

Sat down with Karate Boogaloo @karateboogaloo to chat about their brand-new album, ‘Access All Areas’, recorded at the exact same studio as Ella Thompson's latest record! @__ellathompson__ I loved it so much I listened to it five times before this interview even started. Check out the clip to hear how they made this record their most accessible one yet with their 4-track analog setup!

What’s an insect that defies the laws of nature? You’re right, it’s Karate Boogaloo. And our new track “Butterfly” shows you just why that is. The four stage lifecycle of the Butterfly is represented by each member of the ensemble. The organ hatches from the egg, the bass is crawling around, the guitar melody is spinning itself in silk, and the drums have wings. The piece itself metamorphoses and flies away to restart the cycle after only a moment in the sun. It’s a wonder this tune had not been written already. Butterfly is out now, AAA is out this Friday. 📷 @nick_mckk Snapped at @soundrecordings during peak summer 2025 recording the new record
