POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

🗣️Five years ago I drew three large canvases in one hour, in front of an audience, in the new building of the Office for Environment and Energy (Amt für Umwelt und Energie) in Basel. After each drawing I pulled the canvas up the lift shaft, until the performance space had turned into an exhibition. The office bought the installation. It was my first big sale.
Now I went back for the first time. It’s still hanging. And apparently it’s controversial in the building. I take that as a compliment.

📐The tools I drew with were built on the Vitruvian principle, sized to the distances between the body’s axes of rotation. Low Eyes & Loopholes grew out of the same method: from the whole body to the hands.

👉In November I’m releasing 27 works from the series. On the waitlist you get two days of access before the sale opens to everyone, and pay 20% less instead of 10%. Sign up for the waitlist: link in bio.

Groundwork with B-Boy Fuego @felip3fuego at St. Johann Bahnhof, Basel.

🏗️ At St. Johann Bahnhof, these concrete elements seem scaled to the body.Their distances, angles and levels relate surprisingly well to the proportions between joints and rotational points that play such an important role in Breaking.

⚖️ What became interesting was sharing weight with the architecture — using the sloped surfaces for support, redirecting momentum and moving between levels without treating the object simply as an obstacle.

📦 Finally got one of these in my own hands.

A little over a year ago, I had the pleasure of creating the artwork for an EP by Basel death metal band LYSSA. Seeing parts of that drawing now translated into a really well-made screen print feels quite different from only seeing the files on a screen.

✍️ The cover was built around the main theme of the EP: intoxication, corruption and the different forces that can affect body, mind and soul.

⭕ The circular structure around the image became a kind of frame and crosshair, filled with fragments referring to those themes — violence, intoxication, despair, the snake, reaching hands — while each
section inside the circle illustrates one of the songs.

⚠️ For the T-shirt, LYSSA picked one specific part of that world: HANG, a track confronting racism through an intentionally brutal revenge narrative.

🖤 It’s also great to see how an image changes when it moves from an album cover onto clothing and becomes something that is actually worn.

📩 I’m open for commissioned album artwork and T-shirt designs. If you’re working on a record, band project or garment and think my visual language could fit it, feel free to get in touch.

🥊 One of my rounds in the top 8 in Sarajevo in July.

🧩Over the last few months I’ve been developing a lot of new moves — and lately battles have become one of the places where I test them. This round was the first time I brought this one (over the elbows) out.
There’s something very different about developing a move in practice and then putting it into a battle, where timing, pressure, music and the opponent immediately change how it works.

🔥 I’m enjoying that process a lot right now: create, test, adjust, and bring it back again.
