Got a terrific invitation to repost my first picture featuring a toy on Instagram. Thank you kindly for the tag @fish_pond_joes

I have thrown a few of my first up from early August of 2019. This Chewbacca figure is really the first one I had with me daily. For a time he would come out a play in the foliage. I however credit Quick Kick in January of 2020 for igniting the passion within me to dig out all of my old toys and start taking photos of them. Plus start collecting new ones. I love the toy community on here and follow them as much as I can. I appreciate what everyone is doing and give thanks to you all. I have tagged 20 folks that I feel have been there since the beginning and hope they will all share in this event. However if you see this and want to join in, just do it.

Name:John Baxter Account name: @dashtacker COUNTRY: USA 🇺🇲 WHY TOY FOTOGRAPHY? I think I always wanted to take pictures like the ones in the toy catalogues and on the toy packaging back in the ‘80s. I used to try to take Polaroid pictures of my toys when I was a kid. DO YOU HAVE OTHER HOBBIES? OR TALENTS? I’m an actor and a director of a theatre program. It’s not actually a hobby, it became my career, but I’m a college professor and spend a lot of time on stage. Shakespeare is my speciality. Teaching it to young actors, directing it, acting it. I also used to draw a lot, but not as much as I used to. TYPE OF CAMERA YOU USE? I’ve never used anything other than my cell phone camera, really. Never anything fancy. Right now I have a Motorola G Fast. My wife has a newer Iphone and the camera is way better than mine! IS THERE A PHOTOGRAPHER THAT HAS INFLUENCED YOU? Oh, a bunch. I always like Kitbash Joe’s stuff. All the guys I mentioned, though we’re all over the country in very different places!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY LINE TO TAKE PICTURES OF? It’s always been G.I. Joe, usually the vintage 3.75 figures. Lately I have been posting a lot of my Star Wars figures, though. I’ve got tons of stuff, and depending on my mood, it could be those I mentioned, it could be Star Wars, comic themed, horror themed, DBZ. My Universal Monsters posts and a few pics of Genesis Climber Mospeada characters have gotten more likes than anything else.
