During the darker winter months I shared some accounts I love to follow each Sunday know as “Sunday Scrolls”. The first account I shared was @davaarandco a wool brand founded on a generational station in Southland by Kate MacDonald. Kate has elevated the traditional homespun beyond its rural roots, showing how it can take on a life beyond the farm gate, out on the city streets with the help of some beautiful photography captured by @francinephotomachine. I particularly love following accounts of people sharing their rural based lives and businesses, showcasing what is possible in the regions. These garments are timeless and enduring, starting with the wool from Kate’s family’s farm, manufactured right here in New Zealand into a gorgeous range of jerseys.
