Navigating the film festival circuit is like applying to college, or tbh: auditioning.

The sheer amount of times you’re going to ‘try/submit/etc’ will far outweigh the times you actually get your foot in the door.

But a win is a win. The numbers don’t need to look ‘good’ if you wind up doing the damn thing.

So, thank you to those that championed us on the festival circuit:
@heartlandfilm
@lesfilmfestival
@sonomafilmfest
@biffma
@deadcenterfilm
@roundtopfilmfestival
@zenskilikovi
@youngdirectoraward

Blackmagic Design broke down the saturated, film-inspired New York look that colorist Zack Chalmers built for @theactor.film

We shot loose and handheld across real New York City streets, keeping the crew light so the cast and Macy the dog could move freely. Zack shaped it all into a punchy, saturated grade in DaVinci Resolve Studio: light film emulation, real color separation, grounded enough to keep that run-and-gun feel.
