Completely blown away by our ridiculously talented pal Max von Essen and the rest of the cast (and the 22-piece orchestra!) of Brigadoon at the Pasadena Playhouse. Any theater lover within a 100-mile radius should see this Broadway-level production before it closes on June 14. Just beautiful!

Catching up with one of this year’s Silver Medallion tribute recipients (and great friend to us at TCM), Ethan Hawke. He’s here in Telluride with the Richard Linklater drama Blue Moon, in which he plays songwriter Lorenz Hart, as well as his fascinating new Merle Haggard documentary, Highway 99: A Double Album.

No better way to spend my birthday than with this group of true musical geniuses. It was my honor to host @eltonjohn, @bernietaupinofficial, @brandicarlile, and @thisiswatt at @92ndstreety last night to commemorate their thrilling new collaborative album, Who Believes in Angels? You can watch our conversation along with their fascinating behind-the-scenes mini-documentary on the making of the record on Elton’s YouTube page. Utterly inspiring. 📷: @kevinmazur @gettyentertainment

I’ve been fortunate to meet many of my musical heroes over the years. Tonight is up there at the very top of the list. As you can see I was quite excited to meet ABC frontman Martin Fry, whose smooth voice, lush songwriting, and suave style I have adored for over 40 years. Thanks, @abcmartinfry!

Please allow me one last shot from this weekend because sharing the stage for an hour with the most Oscar-nominated living director was quite special. When I met @martinscorsese_ he said “I feel like I already know you” which pretty much made my year. He’s a wonderful friend to all of us at @TCM.

Shout-out to the guy in the middle who stepped in on short notice to make our @TCM Pop-Up Film Festival x 92NY such a wonderful experience for our fans. I know I’ll never forget chatting with him and the equally fantastic @drewbarrymore before a showing of E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial.

How fun to welcome the formidable @nicolekidman and her brilliant Babygirl filmmaker @halinareijn to the @psfilmfest. The audience loved the film and loved hearing from this impressive pair. Now go win that Best Actress Golden Globe tonight! (Images courtesy of the Palm Springs International Film Festival)

The things you do for love. I’m wearing orange for the first time in support of my favorite UT grad at the big football game. Go Vols!
