🌱✨ Little hands. Big ideas. Endless possibilities.

At the Experimental Kids Festival in Koh Phangan, Thailand, curiosity was the starting point for discovery! 🌍🎨

Through hands-on activities, creativity and experimentation, children had the opportunity to explore new ideas, learn by doing and discover the joy of trying something different.

Because learning isn’t just about being told how the world works. It’s about asking questions, experimenting, making mistakes and finding your own answers. 💚

At Kids&Sparks, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to explore their potential, express their creativity and connect with the world around them.

🌱 Curiosity inspires.
🎨 Creativity empowers.
🤝 Communities bring us together.

Together, we’re building a world where every child has the opportunity to learn, grow and let their spark shine.

Every child has a spark. Let’s help it shine. #kidsandsparks #learningbydoing #environmentaleducation #creativelearning #communityimpacts

The larrikin persona is one thing. The story underneath? That’s something else entirely. Dana Da Silva explores the honesty and heart behind Davey Lloyd’s Tin Man — a memoir that doesn’t shy away from the tough stuff. Out October 2026!

“Who’s the tough one for us?”

Blokes are taught to be the protector and the tough one, so asking for help feels like weakness. It’s actually one of the strongest things you can do. Me and @davey_lloyd got real about it.

From a year and a half in bed to standing next to the Health Minister.

After a nang-induced psychosis at 19, I couldn’t get out of bed. Then one day I got on a treadmill. That turned into a run from Sydney to Canberra over three and a half days to push for nang law reform, and a week later the reform was announced.

Told the full story to @davey_lloyd. Full episode is out on Spotify, link on my story

Feelings?

For years, Davey Lloyd didn’t really know how to let himself feel.

He could go through a breakup and look like a robot.
He’d suppress what was happening underneath and keep moving.

Because somewhere along the way, like so many men, he’d learnt that being strong meant keeping it together.

But getting sober meant there was nowhere left to hide from himself.
And learning to actually feel again became part of his recovery.

Crying.
Being vulnerable.
Telling someone you’re scared.
Admitting you’re struggling.

None of it makes you less of a man.

Every little spark matters.

There’s something magical about giving children the space to create, explore and simply be themselves. ✨

At Kids&Sparks, our workshops are about much more than activities. They’re about curiosity, connection and giving children the confidence to share their ideas — while learning that even the smallest actions can make a difference.

🎨 A blank page becomes an idea.
🌍 An idea becomes a possibility.
💛 And a possibility can become change.

Because when we give children the tools to imagine a better world, they can help us build it.

Let’s keep their sparks alive. 🔥

He literally died.
And when he got out of hospital, he used again.

Davey Lloyd had overdosed, been resuscitated and was sitting on the edge of his bed staring at cocaine just metres away.

He knew exactly what had just happened.
He knew what was at stake.

“The addiction beat my consciousness, and I had the line of cocaine.”

I think that’s something people who haven’t experienced addiction can struggle to understand,
Rock bottom isn’t always enough.
Nearly dying isn’t always enough.
Knowing something is destroying you isn’t necessarily enough to make you stop.

For Davey, surrender came when he finally admitted that addiction had beaten him, and that he needed help.

What do you think it takes for someone to finally be ready to change?
