🎶 BLUE MOVES – Song of the Day: “Cage the Songbird” 🕊️
What a beautifully delicate and sophisticated piece of music!

Written by Elton John, Bernie Taupin and Davey Johnstone.

Written as a tribute to the legendary Édith Piaf, this song is all about finesse. Every instrument is played with such subtlety and restraint, allowing Elton’s tender vocals and Bernie’s poignant lyrics to shine. And those gorgeous harmonies by David Crosby and Graham Nash are the icing on the cake!

🎵 The musicians:

* Elton John – Lead vocals
* Davey Johnstone – Acoustic guitar, dulcimer
* Caleb Quaye – Acoustic guitar
* James Newton Howard – Synthesizer, Mellotron
* Ray Cooper – Triangle, finger cymbals, bell tree, shaker
* David Crosby & Graham Nash – Backing vocals

Sometimes, the beauty of a song lies in what the musicians choose not to play. This is one of those moments. ❤️

What do you think of this beautiful, understated gem?

Here’s another example of get in, get out. This time with Davey & Elton. 🎹

Knowing the show means knowing where to be, when to move, and when to disappear. I’m watching the band, anticipating the moments, and waiting for the right opportunity to grab the shot that’ll make the final edit.

No unnecessary filming, no getting in the way. Every move has a purpose! 🤙🏼
