Losing weight isn’t easy.

Christine Weiss struggled with weight fluctuations for much of her life, reaching 239 lbs, which took a toll on her mental health. As a young girl, she was teased not just for her weight but also for her heterochromia—having two different colored eyes. Her mother, unaware of the genetic link to obesity from Christine’s father, pushed hard for her to lose weight.

Over the years, Christine tried everything—from a severe calorie restriction diet in high school to a liquid diet after marriage, only to fall into a cycle of losing and regaining weight.

In 2023, with her BMI at 38.1, she began researching GLP-1 medications. With her doctor’s support, she started treatment in April and almost immediately, her cravings faded. She began eating smaller portions, increasing her protein, and walking 30–45 minutes most days. She lost 45 lbs., then 60, and has maintained it!

Today, Christine is busy working as an actress in New York and New Jersey as a photo double and stand-in, and making trips to Boston to visit her son, Casey. Now feeling better than ever, Christine is embracing life on a whole new level. 💫

“I’m excited that I wake up early wanting to go for a long walk now. I know I will feel so accomplished and good before my day even really starts, because I did something good for myself,” says Christine, who has lost 60 lbs. and in the process, restored both her confidence and her energy!

Now stronger and healthier, she’s qualifying for more roles and thriving in her career. Christine shares her story to show that transformation is possible. With the right tools and mindset, you can rebuild not just your body—but your confidence!💗

I know I've been MIA from my photography social media, and honestly, my photography in general for 8+ months now. It's insane to think that about time.

Honestly, I lost steam since I lost my Dad in November and immediately lost almost all motivation in my work.

There was already uncertainty on what 2025 might lead to with my photography because I already had a slow schedule on the books coming into 2025. I am a believer of everything happening for a reason.

I just couldn't imagine my Dad passing would be the reason. I needed a break.

A little over a year ago, my Dad retired after 55 years as a butcher. My Dad ran Orange Street Market in New Haven for 40+ years before selling the business and it becoming P&M Orange Street Market. My Dad continued to be the butcher there until his retirement in May 2024.

My Dad worked 55 years in the same building, in the same meat department. The building my grandfather started the business. Where my Dad took over. Where myself and my family worked growing up.

With today being Father's Day, I still don't know if I'm ready to share this, but here it goes.

I photographed my Dad in his final days of work. This is a small collection of images I captured.

I took photos of his daily routine. Cutting meat, making phone calls, interacting with staff and customers, and even making out an egg order.

It brought back so many memories from when I used to work there as a kid, and it was something really special. I don't know why it took me so long to do this, or the moment I decided to take these photos, but I'm so happy I did.

I was (and still am) extremely unsure about when I would release these images to the public. Maybe now is the time.

My Dad loved people. Especially the customers. That's a big reason he stayed when he sold the business. He's the most selfless person I've ever known.

There's so much to say about my Dad. I miss him so much every day. We did so much together and I'm extremely grateful for every minute of it. I have so many great stories and memories with him that I think about daily. He was and still is my very best friend.

I love you Dad. Happy Father's Day. ❤
