Wow, what a moment! 🏆 ECO BEAT has won the Jury Award in the Commissioned Film category at @annecyfestival!

From the very beginning, our goal was to turn a complex sustainability topic into a film that is fun, accessible and memorable. We also wanted to spark conversations through humor, joyful animation and captivating sound and music.

A huge thank you to everyone who made this possible, especially @matthiashendrickx_fischer, @davidkamp and the team at @vorarlbergergemeindeverband.

Thank you, @annecyfestival! This recognition means so much to us.

After 3.5 years in the making, and 2 years on the festival circuit screening at nearly 200 festivals around the world where it picked up 52 awards, Tennis, Oranges is finally out for your online viewing pleasure. Link in bio. With bonus commentary track !

What a journey it’s been. I could not have imagined the life it would have when we started it back in 2020.

Very happy to be having its online premiere with a Vimeo Staff Pick Premiere. Meghan, Ina, and the team are repping online short film curation with style and sharp eyes, and that feels especially important right now in the sea of content we’re all swimming in. Putting my first films on Vimeo helped get my career started, so this feels particularly meaningful
.
Shout out to everyone who worked on this film with me.

Adi Goodrich, I still remember calling you from a bike shop in downtown LA and saying, “We gotta make a stop-motion set on Chung King Road!” Thank you for designing such a beautiful world for this short, and for always being the voice of inspiration when I was exhausted and ready to give up.

Emily Franz, thank you for your incredible talent and for creating such a beautiful miniature world and characters. Meaghan Ross, thank you for your impeccable miniatures.

To all the animators, it was a gift having you on this weird little film. I’m sorry our set tables were janky and the sets were so large, but I hope you had fun: Alfonso Estrada, Akash Jones, Daniel Olivas, Sarah De Gaudemar, Evelyn J. Ross, Eileen Kohlhepp, Shea Ramsey, and Charles D’Avignon.
Aaron Beckum, thank you for your 9th-inning save on the edit. David Kamp for the impeccable sound design, foley, and mix. Elizabeth Warn and Becky Van Cleve for Ace wardrobe. Sean Lewis for the beautiful matte paintings. Colin Thomas for the fly animation. Kaitlyn Battistelli for the final color. Adi Goodrich, Emily Franz, and Patrick Blanchard for the set build.

Thank you to Rooftop Films for the post grant that helped get us over the finish line, Autour de Minuit for their distribution support, and to Chung King Road and all the friends on that street who inspired this film.

This one’s for you.

Enjoy the film, and share it if you do. 🍊🎾

Sumup AutoBahn by Nikita Diakur - Madrid 2026

Autobahn is a continuous, autonomous traffic system for simulated vehicles. It plays on a 20-meter-wide screen in the exhibition space at SOLO CSV in Madrid.
Gallery visitors can physically drive around the space in an Ugly Fiat Multipla. A Fiat wheel with horn is connected to the simulation onscreen. Pressing the horn spawns a car to fall from the sky.
All cars can be minted on autobahndotcom.de and are stored as 1:1 GIFs on IPFS.
