Gentle giants finding refuge under the canopy. I loved bringing out the contrast between the rough, weathered textures of the elephants and the vibrant, lush greens of their surroundings. Capturing these quiet moments is what wildlife photography is all about. 🌿🐘

Ghosts of the mountains- 04

Half asleep, fully aware.

Strip away the colour and the mountains leave only what matters: horn, fur, and a gaze that has seen a thousand winters come and go. Quiet has never meant defenceless.

Yes, another goral. I’d apologise but come on, look at him.

Sat with this RAW file for way longer than I care to admit this week.

I usually stick to natural color for tiger shots, but I really wanted to see if I could pull off a proper fine-art black and white edit.

No one-click presets here—just a lot of trial and error in Lightroom figuring out how to drop that bright dirt road into deep shadow, balance the tones on the stripes, and make sure the whole frame doesn’t look over-processed.

It was fun pushing tone curves, crushing shadows by accident, stepping away from the screen, and second-guessing yourself at 100% zoom. I know seasoned and respected wildlife photographers will probably spot things to refine, but figuring it out step-by-step on your own is half the fun.

Mountain gorilla infant, Uganda, November 2025

One of the (many) challenges of photography in dense forests is …the dense forest. Getting clean shots is often difficult so I’m always just trying to get the subject in focus and hope that the foliage isn’t too distracting. As I don’t use extensive post processing techniques, removing the leaf in the image isn’t something I would consider. My images reflect the reality of the moment, as I think wildlife photography should.

(A Home Built on Our Waste )

.“A mother doesn’t choose the perfect home—she chooses the safest one she can find. In a world where humans leave behind plastic and pollution, this bird has no option but to build her nest on our waste. Yet, life still finds a way. This photograph is not just about birds; it is a reflection of humanity’s impact on nature and a reminder that every piece of litter can become someone else’s reality. Nature continues to fight for survival—it’s time we fought for nature.”
