Next to the primary awards, the @solid_nature Residency was presented to @studioacte, who will embark on a unique collaborative project with SolidNature with a €5,000 stipend.

SolidNature specialises in exceptional natural stone for high-end architectural and interior projects worldwide.

Studio ACTE explores new forms of resilient architecture through low-tech, geo-sourced design and radical material reuse. Led by Estelle Barriol and Fanny Bordes, the Rotterdam-based studio prioritises hands-on research, craftsmanship, and collective building processes.

Colour Field wins Marmomac’s 2026 Stone GameChanger Award

What happens when discarded stone takes centre stage in a public space?

For the London Festival of Architecture, Objects of Common Interest and SolidNature created Colour Field, transforming Principal Place in Shoreditch with offcuts of surplus marble, travertine and quartzite from SolidNature projects around the world.

Reworked into striking geometric shapes, the stone was given a new lease of life, offering visitors a fresh perspective on its colour, texture and natural beauty. Ultimately, this installation won the Stone GameChanger Award for challenging and expanding our perceptions of natural stone.

Commissioned by Brookfield Properties and co-curated by Alter Projects, Colour Field shows how natural stone can be reimagined as a contemporary material.

A collaboration with Sabine Marcelis, conceived as a sculptural installation for the opening dinner of Amsterdam Fashion Week.

Each candle holder is shaped by the colour, warmth and movement of a flame. Individually, a statement object. Arranged together, a single composition of stone, light and colour.

Fashion and design share the same instinct: selected materials, colours and forms, brought together to create something greater than their parts.
