POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
I started a job at Spectrum News in April! I’m so excited for this next chapter, but first want to pay tribute to the place that shaped me and my experience in LA — the Los Angeles Times. It’s impossible to pick moments from the 7.5 years I spent pouring my heart, soul, time, energy, and health into. I started in 2018 as an intern for LATFOB that was supposed to last 12 weeks. I fell in love with everything about the paper, fought and crawled my way to new positions every chance I got. I helped pack up the historic downtown office to move to El Segundo; I reinvented the “ugly sweater” contest; brought joy in dark times; worked my way up to Sr Manager; produced events with Julie Andrews and Patti Smith; survived a pandemic furlough that uprooted my life; lost my apartment and slept in toddler bed; transitioned to video production; took a demotion; produced my first piece that aired on Spectrum—queer representation that made me sob to see live on TV; was nominated for an Emmy and won 2 others (and we’re nominated for one more LATT!); worked my way up to PM for Studios. Getting laid off was a gut-punch, made me question my entire identity I’d built in LA. It was dark, but ultimately what I needed to push me to the next step. During the 8 month unemployment period, I found myself back to where I was in 2018—searching for work, taking any opportunity that came my way. It was humbling. And reminded me of the fight and passion I have in me I lost a bit along the way. In that time, I was reminded it wasn’t success or celebrities that made work life exciting — it was the genuine people I met and the stories we got to tell together. Finding humans like this at work is rare. And I was so lucky that for 7 years I got to have so many iterations of coworkers that felt like family. They brought me joy, laughter, silly dance breaks, inspired me to be better. We united through wildfires, pandemics, politics, and work drama. I clung to them—they made me stronger. This post can’t do justice to express my gratitude. But my goodness, looking back, I had the most magical time learning with the most spectacular humans by my side. And I wouldn’t change a damn thing. 💛

Somebody pinch me!
I’m now a proud winner of an LA Area Emmy!

After filming so many award shows in my career, it’s wild to be on the other side of the camera and actually taking one home.

This was an incredible team win for the LA Times Actresses Roundtable, and I’m so thankful to have been part of it. Huge thanks to Denise Callahan and Patrick Steward. Your support and trust made this possible.

My time at the LA Times has been truly meaningful, and this moment is a highlight I’ll always carry with me. I’m grateful to be part of such a thoughtful, creative, and hardworking team, and I’m so excited for what’s next! Congrats Team! 🥳🍾

A heartfelt thank you to this phenomenal camera team. Honored to have worked alongside you all! 🎥🎉

September was healing, confusing, heartbreaking, beautiful, loving, overwhelming, joyful, aka life. It became about connection for me. Connecting to new friends, old friends, the shame I feel, my inner child, running on the beach, silliness, the love for my work—connecting to everything I possibly could. And as the seasonal wave of depression inevitably comes for many of us, I want to keep doing just that: fall in love with every single part of my life, stay grounded, feel my feelings loudly, and not give a shit about little things anymore like if I post too many photos on one grid 🥰🫶🏻✨
