One of the hardest things about Parkinson’s isn’t always what you can’t do.

It’s never knowing what you’ll be able to do from one day to the next.

Some days your body cooperates. Other days, the simplest tasks feel impossible.

And just because you could do something yesterday doesn’t mean you can do it today.

𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧’𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐚 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞.

And sometimes, that’s the most exhausting
part.🩵

🍁 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐌𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐔𝐌: 𝐈𝐓’𝐒 𝐅𝐀𝐋𝐋,𝐘’𝐀𝐋𝐋!

Fresh air. Crisp mornings. Colorful leaves. A little sunshine on your face.

Sometimes the best way to reset your mind and body is simply to 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐒𝐈𝐃𝐄!☀️

Take a walk. Sit on the porch. Listen to the birds. Feel the sunshine. Breathe in that beautiful fall air.

For those living with Parkinson’s, spending time outdoors offers opportunities for gentle movement, natural light, a little vitamin D production when the sun is strong enough, and a much-needed mental reset.

And remember, movement doesn’t always have to mean a workout.

Sometimes it’s just taking a few extra steps, enjoying nature, and appreciating what your body CAN do today.

🍂𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐦 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞:

Get outside today and every day this week. Even if it’s just for 10 minutes.

Move a little. Breathe a little. Be grateful for a little.

Maybe yesterday you were thinking about everything you have to do this week.

The appointments. The responsibilities. The to-do list. The uncertainty of how you’re going to feel.

But here’s your Monday reminder:

You don’t have to make up for what you didn’t accomplish last week.

And you certainly don’t have to have it all figured out by Monday morning.

Especially when you’re living with Parkinson’s, and some days your body has a different plan than your mind.

So today, start small.

Move your body. Take a deep breath. Do something that makes you smile. Give yourself something to look forward to.

And remember, a fresh start doesn’t require a perfect day.

Some Mondays, motivation just isn’t there.

And with Parkinson’s, that can be more than simply “not feeling like it.” Apathy is a very real non-motor symptom.

So today, don’t wait for motivation.

Put on the shoes.
Stand up from the chair.
Walk to the mailbox.
Turn on one song and move until it ends.
Do five sit-to-stands.

Make the first step ridiculously small.

Because sometimes we think motivation creates movement.

But sometimes?

𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.🩵

That’s your Monday Momentum.
