From a 1972 masterpiece to some of today’s most exciting independent perfumery, this was my tray for the week.

• Diorella — Edmond Roudnitska
A timeless lemon, honeysuckle, and oakmoss chypre that never goes out of style.

• Sabbia Bianca — Unknown
Creamy tuberose, tiaré, coconut, and vanilla. Summer bottled.

• Nida — Soizic Beaucourt
Tea, lilac, and amber with a quiet elegance I can’t get enough of.

• Jade Amour — David Chieze
A luminous floral that’s polished, modern, and effortlessly wearable.

• Encore du Temps — Giuseppe Imprezzabile
One of the most emotional perfumes I own.

• White Blood — Bertrand Duchaufour
Bright starfruit and tiaré soften into musk and grey amber. One of the most approachable fragrances in the collection while still carrying Duchaufour’s unmistakable signature.

• Fleurs de Reine — Julien-Joseph Godet
A refined mimosa and tuberose floral with timeless elegance.

• Silent Serenity — Patrice Revillard
A smooth fruity chypre that’s comforting and incredibly easy to wear.

• 1900 L’Heure de Proust — Jérôme Épinette
Black tea and vanilla make this one impossible for me to resist.

‘Amber Bloom’ @electimusslondon
It’s hot out & I’m bathed in the delicious fruity freshness with a side of musk & pinch of salt of @davkze ‘s Amber Bloom.

It straddles the space between aquatic & fruity as if you have dived into a sea of exotic fruits, think a cocktail of tart citrus with grapefruit in the opening with a dash of sweet orange that turns into a zingy passion fruit with a squeeze of raspberry. All made delicious with a touch of salt giving you that feel of sea air & water. As a beautiful contrast there’s a lovely soapy floral lily of the valley paired with musks giving it a fresh slightly thick musky sea breeze made dry by tonka & ambroxan. Amber Bloom shines in the heat feeling with the tart citruses keeping things in balance. You can read a longer piece on this summer gem over on @cafleurebonofficial

The smell of heat in a fragrance is so cool to me Resonant by Oddity masters the citric heat adding some metal and some just general awesomeness. The perfumer is David Chieze, the bottle cap contains bismuth encapsulated inside epoxy resin. Don’t forget to listen to the playlist that accompanies this scent on their website.
