Now that Marsupial is out (go watch it), I’ve been thinking about what an honor it was to screen Marsupial at film festivals alongside so many other talented filmmakers. There’s something special about showing your film in a theater to people who love the art form as much as you do. This film taught me more than I can put into words. But the moments that stay with me are the ones when someone told me how the film made them feel, or that they saw themselves in it. That’s the whole reason we do this. SIDE EFFECTS (Short Film BTS) Day 4 of Filming We’re thankful for our friends at @everydayworkscoffee that allowed us to use the space and shoot the ending of the film there. We filled the store with our talented friends as the background shoppers and were glad to have them all be apart of this. This was one of the more tame days of all the days we filmed but we did end up doing a really creative shot (you can see in the second slide) where we used a macro lens to focus on Jerry’s eye and show the Goats Milk he was holding. Anyways, super excited and have some big announcements coming soon regarding the film, will be revealing the official poster, and information on our first screening date this week!
