A little bookworm, a little fashionista, and a whole lot of personality! 📚✨

Sam’s senior session was such a fun mix of everything that makes her, HER!

We started surrounded by books (because what better place for a girl who loves to read?), traded the bookshelves for the colorful graffiti of downtown, and even squeezed in a little shopping spree...well, sort of. 😂

When you find a store called SAM’S during Sam’s senior session, you HAVE to stop for a photo!

From cozy bookstore vibes to a little downtown attitude, I love how these photos show off different sides of her personality.

And that’s exactly what senior photos should do! ❤️

So tell me...are you more 📚 bookstore vibes or 🔥 graffiti alley?

Every bookmark we get from a bookseller goes in a flower pot I painted at a DIY pottery painting studio... and we use them! Do you save bookseller bookmarks too?

I saved every scrap I could from my Michigan Books-Tour with my mom, and junk journaled my little bookery heart out! This is the finished product, documenting every bookstore we visited in Michigan in this little empty booklet I got from @blackribbonbooks in Hot Springs.

Might as well be my new bookstore passport, don’t you think?! 🫶🏻

Mary Oliver was the poet who taught generations to pay attention: to the trees, the birds, the quiet moments, and the astonishing fact that we are here at all.

Interviews with close friends, never-before-seen personal photos, and archival correspondences provide insight into the life and work of a truly beloved writer.

Moving in this fall? Before you rush to a big box store, try these sustainable swaps:

🆓 Join Ann Arbor Buy No Things Facebook Group or App for free household items
🛋️ Hit up Kiwanis or Facebook Marketplace for furniture with character
👕 Thrift your clothes (1 new t-shirt = 2,700L of water!)
💻 Get refurbished tech with warranties from Apple or Back Market

Pro tip: Live in your space for a week before buying extras. Half those "college essentials" lists aren't actually essential!

Every thrifted purchase supports local businesses, saves money, and keeps items out of landfills.
