I definitely have strong opinions on this topic, so lets get to it!

🐉 Short or long chapters?
Short chapters all the way.

🐉 Names or numbers for chapters?
Numbers, because I calculate how many chapters are left and its such a hassle when I have to hand count it. A combi with both numbers and names is fine though, that's just all good vibes.

🐉 Multiple or single POV?
Multiple. the more the merrier.

🐉 Do you check the chapter length before reading?
Only when I want to go to sleep, but might do 1 more chapter. Otherwise I might check halfway through how much is left!

🐉 Bookmark, dust-jacket or dog-ear?
Not to be a hater, but there is only one correct option here. Bookmark!

🐉 What's the latest you've stayed up reading?
About 3 or 4. I can't do all nighters lol.

Disappointing books 📚

Here are some books that have sadly disappointed me this year 🫣 honesty is so important on bookstagram! I’ve tagged a few of you to also share your disappointing reads if you fancy it 🩵🩵

- Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow
I was soo disappointed by this. The fact that this was Goodreads 2022 fiction winner makes it even worse 😭 I couldn’t get into it at all, and I found the characters insufferable.

- My Killer Vacation
This had NO depth… the characters had the personality of a brick wall and the ‘thriller’ bits were so random 😂

- Happy Place
I didn’t hate this book or anything, I really was just disappointed. I think it’s one of those that was so overhyped for me that it just fell super flat. Also, I’m yet to find an Emily Henry book I love… Any suggestions? I’ve only read this and Book Lovers so far, but as it stands, BL > HP

- Girl In Pieces
This book touched on so many heavy topics, but didn’t really go into enough detail on any of them. I listened to the audiobook narrated by the one and only Julia Whelan, and honestly, even queen Julia couldn’t save this one…
