Feels good to be back! 335 for 3!

Went away Saturday-Tuesday last week for a work conference in Orlando. Came home with the flu. Took me out of the gym for 6 days and here we are on the next Tuesday. Doing my normal 15 minute warm up on the bike almost killed me but bench felt great. Salty cuz I was gonna PR 385+ last week if I wasn't stuck in bed. Better luck in 2 weeks when I plan to try again. (Came back after rehydrating this weekend and was still down 9 lbs from the flu but I'll probably put some more back on in the next few days)

Meet Recap/Long Post Alert

Had my 1st ever meet with @uspapower hosted by @keenstrengthsystems and @uspa_northeast today. Went 5/9, 480 squat, 290 bench (only hit my openers) and went 3/3 on deads hitting 600 (in my story if you wanna see it). Had a ton of fun, and learned a lot about humility. Didn’t listen to @swole_diabetic on my squat selections and jumped the gun. Bench just pooped the bed, but Deads came back and saved me. Totaled 1370, at least 100 lbs lower than what I wanted, but things happen and I have to understand that totals are earned. Special thanks to @ohmygodadog who prepped with me this entire time and had a great day today, pring on bench. And also talking me out of a funk. Love you. Thanks to @swole_diabetic for handling me and the many gsb lifters today, he deserves a medal for dealing with me. @shelter_squats @angel_ee @dbotrainer @thebarbellbarbarian @colleen.donahue @codycunliffe thank you all for talking me down and keeping my head in. @matt.keen42 @strongerthanyamcha you both did an amazing job, and the meet was well ran from start to finish. And to the whole @gardenstatebarbell crew, thank you for the wisdom and words. When I first got there, I had no idea what powerlifting was all about, especially coming from a bodybuilding/physique background. Since we’ve signed up, y’all have been nothing but great to Victoria and I. Time to work on my problem points and get better for the next meet in a few months. Wherever that may be. #fitfam #philly #uspapower #hybridpowerlifting #242boiz #husky #needfood #grind #gsb #wherethepopeyesat
