Pearl : Okay let's talk about my (Pan)cake. A Pancake it was not. It was more like a thick cake and not like the good kind that i have *pauses for laughter*.

DDD: No 😕.

Pearl: Smh , anyways it's not that it didn't taste good , it was alright but I’ve made better, so it was extremely disappointing to pay 10k for that. They didn't ask me how I liked my Eggs so it ended up being well done even though I like my yolk runny and bussin’ in my mouth.

DDD: nah nah nah, *PAUSEEEEE* you guys can see she’s doing this on purpose right?

Pearl: The Sausages and Bacon were alright as well. I’m not a big fan of potatoes but they were surprisingly good.

DDD: Yeah same, I'm not crazy about potatoes but these were good. That pancake was *not* a pancake, the thing was a CAKE, straight vanilla. White and thick, like Kim K. The Sausages and Bacon were basic, nothing special, no vibes. You could fry it at home with no effort.

I keep having faith in Nigerian restaurants to provide me with proper Jerk chicken. But they fail me every single time. This was just a regular spicy creamy pasta, nothing was jerk about it, it was more Abeokuta than Jamaican. Also, the pasta didn't hold the cream well, cream is supposed to be thick.

Pearl: *Pause* 🙄

DDD: Y’all. Anyways. The cream wasn't holding on to the pasta and it fell to the bottom of the plate. Don't get me wrong, it was nice, it was spicy, but it wasn’t what I ordered.

Lastly, this (garlic) bread was just stale and burnt bread topped with garlic you can't even taste. It was a brick, you could build a house with it 🧱.

Pearl: DFKM, I quite liked the pasta but lowkey could’ve stoned my enemies with that bread.

Overall if you’re looking for aesthetics and vibes it's a good place to go. The staff and hosts were friendly and the two sips of the mimosas we got to have were pretty good too. But when it comes down to it, worst 10k I've ever spent in my life.

DDD: 4/10 Overall, for that price and wait time? This was not it. But bonus points for the Tacos and the *okay* Pasta.

DDD: Welcome to this *elite* colab, it was only right that we did Brunch. The review is gonna be 2 parts, because it’s about to be long.

Pearl: Pause.

DDD: Ffs 🙄. Anyways, We came by 3:30pm (which is late) but they made an exception. Shoutout them for that.

Pearl : I was ready at 11:30am just to clarify this lateness issue. But can't lie, I wish they had let us go cause we would’ve gotten faster service literally anywhere else.

DDD: I’m never late, btw. But yes, the food took AGES . We waited 55 mins for the STARTERS and the mains took 1 HOUR 48 MINS. Lord. They gave complimentary popcorn btw.
So, for 10k you get: 2 courses and *unlimited* (not really) mimosas for 2 hours. So I got the Shrimp Tacos and Jerk Chicken Pasta. Best Mimosas I've had in Lagos ngl, but when you ask for a refill, they take about 20 mins which runs down the 2 hour clock, so we only ended up getting 2 each.

Pearl: Dotun was driving so we thank God the mimosas ended up being limited. Would’ve hated for that to be my last meal.

DDD: Oop.

Pearl: I got the Honey and Garlic Wings and the American Pancakes. The ‘Pancake’ came with Chicken sausages, Eggs, Bacon and sautéed Potatoes.

DDD: For the record, I don’t drink and drive (I don’t even be drinking like that). The Shrimp Tacos were amazing, even though they were 70% Veggies, each Taco had like 5 pieces of shrimp, which is good. The Shrimps were nicely seasoned, it gave a Cajun vibe, not too spicy.

Pearl: The Shrimp had just enough crunchiness to it and the seasoning and sauce made the Taco juicy enough that I was dripping from each bite- I mean the Taco was.

DDD: Jesus Christ, PAUSE.

Instead of Honey & Garlic Wings, they came out with Crispy Wings, you guys will not believe they took the wings back, dipped those SAME WINGS in Honey & Garlic sauce and served them. That's just disrespectful. The crunchy wings were now soggy with a tang of honey, just a mess.
