Designed by Gentle Works alongside our client Boma Akisanya, The Alabaster House (@hello.alabaster) is a concierge-led postpartum wellness and Pilates destination centered on movement, recovery, and restoration. 🤍

Warm earthen materials, tactile finishes, sculpted surfaces, and soft architectural forms create a nurturing environment that feels grounded, intimate, and connected to the body. Arched thresholds and organically shaped elements offer gentle transitions between spaces, reinforcing a sense of softness and care throughout. The interiors support both restorative care and movement, bringing Pilates and holistic postpartum wellness into a calm, welcoming setting.

Thank you to the general contractor Cross Miller (@crossmilleratl) for a beautiful project build-out, and The Buildhouse team (@the_buildhouse) for the custom millwork throughout the space.

Visit The Alabaster House in Atlanta’s Morningside Village (@morningsidevillage) or start your postpartum care journey at thealabasterhouse.com 💫

Thompson Austin and Tommie Austin share an address, but their material palettes tell two different stories.

Working with KTGY and Studio Collective, @ddstile sourced and developed tile and stone for guestrooms and shared amenity spaces throughout the combined property. Thompson leans darker and more layered, pairing custom stone mosaics with terrazzo-look porcelain. At Tommie, the palette shifts to warm minimalism, with graphic bath tile and an efficient material approach.

Across both hotels, references to West Texas take shape in dimensional terracotta, carved Adoquin stone, and geometric motifs embedded throughout.

DDS supports hospitality projects from value-engineered guestrooms through signature custom features, working alongside design teams to source, develop, and scale surfaces across budgets and development timelines. (Photos by @thevuvobandit)

For the Broken Arrow Chalet Kitchen, we leaned into a palette that feels both grounded and refined, deep charcoal lacquered cabinetry paired with soft white leathered quartzite counters, handmade white tile splashes, and brushed brass accents.

It's a play of contrast, but never loud. Everything is intentional, from the classic shaker style cabinetry to the tactile stone surfaces that quietly elevate everyday routines.

What we love most is how this space balances precision with warmth. The kitchen isn't just for cooking, it's where mornings begin slowly, where conversations linger, where design supports life without demanding attention.

For us at HSH Interiors, it's always about creating spaces that feel effortless, yet deeply considered.

@seanbrobins wanted our guest bathroom mirrors in the desert to really let our favorite visitors see all their beauty

now they’re available at @studiovandenakker in a variety of shapes and sizes and metal finishes!

lime plaster walls from @ressource_americas and @ressource_peintures
white oak paneling from @thehudsoncompany
my favorite linear sconce from aamsco
double pedestal sink from @waterworks

to soften the direct desert sun, we devised a system of @shimmerscreen for the skylights (getting them all even was a covid-era undertaking of sean’s, for which i remain grateful)

my favorite tile in the house is in the wet room beyond - many thousands of multi-glazed mosaics @ddstile - which our tile installer junior called his chiclet bathroom

thanks to all our crews for getting this right, and to @marklumerman from my team for helping bring these mirrors to life

Mood has never been optional.

Character. Boldness. Intention. The spaces people remember always committed to something.

As quoted in House Digest.

PRIMARY ENSUITE

This primary ensuite was commissioned by a son who wanted to create a retreat for his mother. Having dedicated her life to her family and her work as a NICU nurse, she deserved a space that felt calm, restorative, and effortless to move through.

We positioned the bed to overlook the lush garden, offering the best possible view to wake up to, and kept the palette simple with a grounded, quiet design.
