Here’s another diptych I showed in Melbourne and Brisbane as a part of my series ‘My Močiutė Sent Me’

One was shot in Australia and the other was shot in Lithuania.

Together they reflect the culture of my family in-between Australianness and Balticness.

The reel is about how I came to understand how much more the diptych means.

For me, the sequencing stage of making often brings out hidden meanings or subconscious associations with images. This is a perfect example.

Each work’s first edition has been sold.

Paula Veidenbauma (b. 1997, Riga) is an artist based in Vienna, Austria. With a background in Urban Studies and Film, she works within intersections of architecture, visual arts, and theatre. Her practice engages with real estate politics and aesthetics, project(ed) dramaturgies, limits of flexibility, and expanded notions of renovation.

Thank you to everyone who showed up last week ❤️❤️
Shoutout to my bro @oscrslls who was painting every night to prepare for the show. Also big thank you to @deadeasy.studio for allowing us in the space and helping set up.

I used to sketch floor plans for a @providethepeople pop up in high school, but never thought they’d happen. It means a lot to me to be able to say we’ve had 2 pop up stores since then. Plenty more to come.
