✨CLIENT SPOTLIGHT✨ @deanmthomas14

Dean Thomas - You are a 2 x Ironman Tenby, Wales, FINISHER & you slayed the Dragon 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 🐉 Dean smashed his 2024 time with a 50 minute PB ✨

I have had the absolute pleasure of being a small part of Deans incredible team over the last 14 weeks of his Ironman Wales block 💪🏻

Dean came to me for his weekly Sports Therapy as a recommendation from Mark @mtsports_therapist (who I can’t thank enough)! We’ve had weekly 90 minute sessions, chatting all things life whilst working through his heavy legs after his weekly sessions had increased volume ahead of Tenby🦵

I’m so thankful to Dean for his trust in me as a Sports Therapist & I’m so grateful Dean is the easiest going client ever! Dean had a few niggles through his training block, the obvious muscle strains, a foot issue 🫠 (if you know me, I don’t like feet, which Dean thought was hilarious🤣🫠) but he trusted his body to get him there and he smashed it.

I’ve loved every minute of every session with Dean and it was an absolute pleasure chasing him around (even if I got soaked through twice 🌧️) from the Bike route in Cresselly to his Marathon and watching him cross that red carpet in Tenby 💪🏻

I feel super proud to have played a small part in helping Dean get to Ironman Wales and becoming an Ironman Finisher! 🥹

I’ll forever be grateful to Mark for recommending me to Dean, and to Dean - Thank you 🥹 You are amazing, you’ve been the best client and I’m proud to call you a friend ✨ Keep smashing it Champ!! 💪🏻

🏁 IRONMAN WALES FINISHERS! 🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

What a day for the team! 🔥

Months of training, early mornings, tough sessions, sacrifices, doubts and plenty of hard work have all come down to this moment — IRONMAN FINISHERS! 💪

I couldn’t be prouder of every single one of you. You showed incredible determination, resilience and belief from the first training session right through to crossing that finish line.

An Ironman is so much more than swimming 3.8km, riding 180km and running a marathon. It’s about pushing through when things get tough (Boy did it get tough out there) supporting each other and Of course NEVER GIVING UP!!

You earned every step, every mile and every moment of that finish.

Congratulations team — you are officially IRONMAN! 🥇🔥

Proud coach. Proud team. What an achievement! 🚀⚡️

NEVER GIVE UP. A phrase that’s been with me through some of the hardest moments, biggest challenges, and proudest achievements.

It’s tattooed on my hand for a reason because it’s more than motivation. It’s a mindset.

A reminder to keep showing up when things get hard. To stay disciplined when motivation fades.
To keep moving forward no matter what’s in front of you.

So being able to turn that into something real and design this tee means a lot. Massive thank you to Sunday Club for helping bring the vision to life. 🫶🏻

This isn’t just clothing, it represents resilience, consistency, and the mentality behind everything we do at Peak Performance Wales.

The response to the launch has already been unreal. The NEVER GIVE UP tees are now live on the website, head over now to get yours before they’re gone. 👌🏽🔥

Unpopular opinion: The running industry isn’t oversaturated. It’s under-experienced.

Too many “coaches” are selling motivation instead of knowledge. Posting workouts. Copying training plans. Recycling quotes about discipline.

But coaching endurance athletes isn’t content creation.

It’s years of trial and error. Understanding physiology. Managing injury risk. Guiding athletes through bad races, burnout, and setbacks.

That only comes with experience.

Running a successful club and developing athletes doesn’t happen overnight. It takes years.

Thousands of conversations. Hundreds of training blocks. Lessons learned the hard way.

Anyone can call themselves a coach. Very few can consistently develop athletes. Someone had to say it. Real coaching isn’t loud. But the results speak for themselves. Unpopular opinion: The running industry isn’t oversaturated. It’s under-experienced.

Tomorrow is the final day of our Lanzarote camp.

A week of big miles, early alarms, strong coffee, salty swims, windy rides, tired legs and a lot of laughs along the way. What makes this camp special has never just been the training. It’s the people.

Seeing this community come together out here never gets old. The work that gets done, the friendships that grow, and the memories that come from a week of pushing limits in an incredible place.

Lanzarote, you delivered as always.
Already looking forward to the next one. 👌🏽 Tomorrow is the final day of our Lanzarote camp.

Years of building this community and it still blows me away, the graft, the laughs, and the “yeah go on then” attitude no matter what Lanzarote throws at us.

Our Lanza camp really is something else. 👌🏽
