Our next Black creatives will take place on Monday the 26th of October.

Deanna Rodger @deannarodger will be leading the session and invites all to get involved as she talks about and delivers her ‘Creative Facilitation Training’.

“Come explore what makes a room work, share the times it’s gone brilliantly (and terribly), and think together about power, belonging and who gets heard, using our own experiences as facilitators and participants to question what facilitation can change.”

See you all on Monday 👌🏽

We welcomed the phenomenal poet, performer and facilitator @deannarodger to @cliftoncollegeuk earlier this week.

Deanna’s presentation took this year’s Black History Month theme as inspiration: Honouring Our Communities, exploring how the power of poetry connects our communities and histories.

A little review of 2026 so far: Small Schools Book Clubs, 100s of book donations, 7 Waterstones visits, over 30 author visits, various projects funded around the county, funding of an author in residence, Coram Beanstalk volunteers and a nomination for The King's Award. After all of this we are now planning for our Y6 Event and the new school year.

As we are all volunteers none of this is possible without help from our sponsors, Friends and ticket sales for the Wells Festival of Literature in October. Do head over to the website and see what's happening. @wellsfestivalofliterature

Happy 17th Birthday To... Us.

People talk about community. We build it and breathe it.

Crazy to think it's been 17 years ⁉️ of independent live music, festivals, venues, films, animation, youth development and community. We are still out here, changing lives, which is nothing short of a miracle in 2026.

Thank you to everyone who has touched any part of Lyrix Organix on this wild adventure - from stepping on stages at our first gigs in NW London, to joining our workshop programmes at Glastonbury Festival, to wearing one of our merch, or posting one of our CNY cards.

A rare milestone on the day of one of our fam's funeral @flood_dnb.

Too many names to mention so here's a random archive photo dump with some familiar faces.

Love y'all x

The day began with a live show with the Empathy Week team where 180 incredible primary students became certified culture explorers, engaging in lots of activities related to this year’s theme! We even got movin’ and had a little boogie!! 🕺

In the afternoon, secondary school students explored culture, identity and human rights through poetry with the wonderful Deanna Rodger in partnership with Amnesty International. Also, we were joined by a very special guest… the Lord Mayor of Leeds!!!! 🤩

The day concluded with an incredible CPD session with the Born Free Foundation that explored traditional teachings of animal welfare in the classroom through the lens of empathy!
