POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This one means a lot 🤍
Almost 18 years ago, when we were all still kids ourselves, we watched our friends experience the unimaginable, losing their son, Alfie. 🕊️

I think I can speak for so many of us when I say that we were, and still are, incredibly inspired by Dean and Charlene’s strength in the face of something no parent should ever have to go through.

What followed was something incredibly powerful. Their loss brought people together. It gave people a reason to do something positive, to support others and, in doing so, keep Alfie’s name, his memory and his legacy very much alive.

It was an absolute pleasure to sit down with my friends, reminisce about all those years, hear some of the stories again and make this video to share with you all. There was plenty of laughter, a few emotional moments and so many memories.

17th February next year will be Alfie’s 18th birthday.

So for them, it feels like the perfect time for one final challenge.

17KM. 17 DAYS.

And this time, we want to bring as many of you with us as possible.
There’ll be different routes, hikes and plenty of opportunities to join us.
It’s not a race. It doesn’t matter how fast you run, or whether you walk some or all of it.
It’s about getting outside, challenging ourselves, doing something good and coming together as a community.

So please take five minutes to watch the video, hear the story, see where this journey began and what’s coming next.

And if you’re watching this thinking you’d like to be part of it, we’d absolutely love to have you.

comment “I’M IN” below. 👇🏼

Let’s get as many people as possible behind this final challenge and make it one to remember.

The GoFundMe link will be in our bios so if you’d like to support Alfie’s Legacy, that’s where you’ll find it. 🤍

18 years on, Alfie’s name is still bringing people together.

And I think that’s something really beautiful.

I am so very proud of Alfie’s Mum & Dad. 🤍

First job of the day ✅ aswell as providing a regular reliable window cleaning service for all our customers, we also look after other parts of their propertys too.

We clean this roof roughly every 18 months for a customer in Haxby.

Firstly sweeping all moss & debris from the roof, following that a rinse down to get it nice & wet, applying a nice helping of Fairy liquid before scrubbing with a soft bristle brush to preserve the roofs gel coating.

A quick clean of the windows leaving that Crystal Clean finish.

Jobs a good un & customers happy. Onto the next. 💎

Took a minute today, the realization of where this thing started, 2008 my wife took me to selby to buy an escort van, i left my job with just a small handful of customers and although i didnt know how at the time, just vowed to make it work. 18 years on, this little business is approaching 1000 repeat customers on a monthly basis with pretty much all also booking us in for extras like Gutters, Fascias, Conservatory and flat roof cleaning etc. most customers have actually become friends and this little business has provided a beautiful little life for me, my wife & kids. Thankyou all so much for choosing @itsthewindowcleaner 💎

With over 800 customers on our window cleaning round we often find many want to go that extra mile when looking after their property, if its mucky the chances are we clean it. Heres some recent Gutter & Fascia cleans weve done. Clearing out gutters and cleaning them down with fascia boards & soffits then finishing on a full window, frames and sills clean always gives you that Crystal Clean Services York touch. 💎
