Founded in 2019, Collective Ending is an artist-led initiative that supports artists by providing them with opportunities to explore and develop their practices in ambitious and experimental settings. In December 2019, Collective Ending HQ, a collectively run studio and gallery complex, opened in Deptford, South East London. Since its inception, Collective Ending has worked with over 150 emerging and early career artists and continues to present a year-round programme of public-facing exhibitions and live events. ⁣⁣ ⁣ We would like to thank Marta & the whole co_atto team for their continued support! Opening on the occasion of Milan Art Week 2022, meta_fair aims to give voice to realities similar to co_atto by nature, normally not called upon to participate in institutional events such as MiArt, and takes the form of a showcase festival involving seventeen independent Italian and international exhibition spaces and projects. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ We would like to thank Marta & the whole co_atto team for their continued support! It is with great pleasure we enter our third year and what better way than a big renovation in time for 'First Light' our first show of the year featuring: @lewis_brander & @sonyaderviz Self organised by our 12 members: @georgialaurenstephenson @tedleswer @yuliserfaty @_harrison_pearce @chardonnie @aliahamaoui @fenellabrereton @maiamagoga @drimdvst @campbell.hector @elliot_fox and myself we have exhibited now a staggering 150+ artists from our extended networks both here in London and further afield! Collective Ending presents Solstice Spectrum, the culmination show of our residency at @thenewstivesschool —————————— A ritualistic exhibition happening and edible foraged installation. A huge thank you to everyone who made their way down to share such a special day with us. We were joined around the fire and amongst the teeth formation for a communal exchange of ideas and dialogue exploring how our ritual around eating have shaped contemporary society and culture.

Myself and many members of Collective Ending recently returned from St Ives, Cornwall having undertaken an exciting and rewarding collaboration with the New St Ives School residency programme. Collective Ending presents Solstice Spectrum, the culmination show of our residency at @thenewstivesschool ——————————— Artworks by: Billy Fraser Elliot Fox Alia Hamaoui Ted Le Swer pɑː(r)tɪk(ə)l Harrison Pearce —————————- A ritualistic exhibition happening and edible foraged installation. ‘Solstice Spectrum brings to the fore our curiosity in the ritualistic experiences of both cooking and eating, as members of Collective Ending embrace the organic surroundings of rural St. Ives. In particular, the event will examine how two monumental pre-human advancements, the discovery of fire and the use of tools for food preparation, shaped our species’ evolutionary development. Each artist presents an element of their practice atop a series of tooth-shaped plinths that serve to reference both the distinctive rock formations that mark the county’s ritualistic history and the anatomical evolution of human teeth, jaw and facial structure following the invention of stone tools to prepare food.’
