Dear Sibling, Our parents may have tried their best to give us the good foundation, but as we grow, keeping the sibling relationship alive becomes our responsibility too.

Not as pressure or a burden, but intentionality.

And I’m grateful to @alrightspassion for reminding me that passions grow better when we don’t have to build alone.

Remember when you and your siblings used to gist, play, fight, laugh… basically do everything together? 😂

Then school happened. Boarding school. University. Different schedules. New friends.

And somehow, you just stopped being as close.

It doesn’t have to be that way.

This school year, let’s be intentional about checking in, making time and keeping that sibling bond alive—even when you’re far apart. ❤️

Back to school, still siblings.

Nation building begins long before the ballot box, the boardroom, or the marketplace?

It begins at home?

And some of the very problems we complain about in society today are first being rehearsed in our relationships with our siblings?

What if we are unknowingly feeding the same toxic patterns we already see around us—competition instead of collaboration, resentment instead of reconciliation, indifference instead of responsibility, division instead of unity?

Join us this month as we explore:

BEYOND THE HOME: THE ROLE OF SIBLING RELATIONSHIPS IN NATION BUILDING

This month, we are excited to host:

✨ Seun David-Olurinde (The SDO)
Transformation Leader @thelightmissions
Self Mastery Coach @divabydesignrc

Together, we will explore how the relationships we build at home shape the people we become and the society we create.

Dear Sibling, Happy New Month

I’m sure it’s not just me, we are plenty

My heart is heavy, I really wish I can snap my finger and things can be better in this country, uhmm!

Sibling Relationship is important in Nation Building; identity and character formation, etc. Just imagine we had a leader whose sibling can call to order when he/she is drifting and they would listen.

I thought this calling to be a small matter but it’s not. So this month we would be talking about siblings and Nation building… #frienblings #siblings #nationbuilding #character #healthyrelationships

I was listening to Baruch Hashem Adonai by Dunsin Oyekan and Theophilus Sunday, and I was just basking in the presence of the Lord, enjoying the melody of the song.

At some point, I could not help but notice something deeper.

The way Theophilus would sing and Dunsin would smile like, “ah, I’m feeling it.”
The way Dunsin would sing and Theophilus would smile like, “no, no, no, no, no… this is powerful.”

There was no competition.
There was no “you are doing too much.”

Each person was expressing their gift fully unto the Lord… and the other was celebrating it.

And I could not help but think about the relationship we have with our siblings.

Where each of us has gifts…
But instead of encouraging each other, we say:
“You are doing too much.”

Hence,

We hide them in their shell, bury their gifts or silence their expression.

All because of jealousy, envy, comparison.

And this lingering thing… it’s not ordinary.
It is a tool from the enemy to kill the relationship.

But imagine that atmosphere from the song…

Together, it felt like incense rising…
Like a sweet fragrance going up to heaven.

It was beautiful, pure. And I believe everyone was feeling it.

And I just thought to myself…

What if siblings lived like this?

What if instead of competing, we celebrated?
What if instead of suppressing, we encouraged?
What if instead of comparing, we built each other up?

I imagine the kind of relationship we would have…

And I believe this is what the psalmist meant in Psalm 133:

“How good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity…”

Because truly, where there is unity, the presence of God rests.

So maybe we should not just enjoy the song, but also pick this principle from it and apply it to our own relationships.

Because that beauty we admire, we can actually live it.
