To help us usher in the weeklong celebration of Sukkot, otherwise known as “z’man simchateinu—the time of our rejoicing,” check out “Sasa Nigun,” a wordless melody with one electrified section for dancing and getting the spirits up!

The name of this tune is related to “sason” (שָׂשׂוֹן), a biblical Hebrew word meaning “gladness, joy, exultation.”

Wishing you all Chag Sameach!

Over 200 people joined @debsmintz and @yosgold last night at Hadar for a night of communal song to mark the Aseret Yimei HaTeshuva - the ten days between Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur. The sold-out event was followed by Selihot tefillah led by R. Ethan Tucker.

Eight years ago today, we gathered in a living room for an Elul experiment - and New Moon Rising was born! #throwbackthursday to this sweet house concert, where it all began.

Through ups and downs both personal and communal, the three of us have shown up for each other through song - and we are grateful to get to share this musical expression of care and connection with you along the way! We are so excited for yet another year ahead of harmony, friendship, and collaborative joy!
