POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I don’t like many photos of myself but I do like this one taken by @decor8 at the @bikinihotels in Port de Sòller 🤍 Holly is always able to capture my mood and natural expression (no awkward poses!) and I am far from being natural in front of camera 😆
As you probably noticed, I feel much better on the other side, hence you don’t see many images of me here.
Thanks Holly for capturing this happy memory in Mallorca 🤍

Do you remember our Mood Spaces at #DTX23? 👀

Five talented designers created #moodspaces that expressed the interplay between floor and wall on the one hand and carpet, decorative fabrics and furniture on the other.

Next year, the Mood Spaces will be given a stage again!
This time under the themes of #residential and #contracting. 💯

Had a wonderful first day at @_xtant_ in Palma Mallorca exploring the stories behind the heritage textiles, at Can Vivot marketplace. So much textures, beauty and inspiration in one place, beautifully curated @marcellaechavarria @kavitaparmar. More in my Xtant highlight.

The 5th and final MOOD SPACE in my trend exhibition at Domotex @domotex_hannover this month is my very own - and the theme I developed was SENSORY DESIGN.

I loved the three colors I’d chosen from @caparol_icons for the walls and floor - especially the coral 🪸 underfoot - wow - it really did what I was hoping it would do - gave the entire display a big HAPPY lick of unexpected color in the middle of a very grey winter month. Watermelon 🍉 sugar high!

The first thing I did to plan this space was to find available furniture to loan and rugs that I absolutely loved so I went to Ligne Roset in Hannover @ligne_roset_hannover and spoke to Marieke at @lyk_carpet in Berlin to see if the rugs and pouf that I liked from her website would be available for the show. I hadn’t seen any of the rugs in person, or the paint colors, or the lamp, so it came down to trusting my instinct.

Ligne Roset was a dream to work with, both the PUKA chair and LEWA table were in stock, and they were able to order the CINETIQUE lamp in record time - yeah!

Marieke sent over the two rugs I had requested along with a pouf I had hoped for yet one week before the show, I had this gut feeling to swap out the rug on the wall for one that was more tactile and would fit my theme more so the wall rug/art changed the day BEFORE the fair opened. 🤪

BUT that’s how it all works in my profession - the art of the improvisation - which I feel is one of my strongest skills - the ability to create spontaneously without preparation, but somehow it works.

I’ve learned over the years that I do my best work with 75% planning and 25% improvising and winging it - that’s my creative recipe.

A special thank you to @ligneroset @ligne_roset_hannover @lyk_carpet @caparol_icons and @indigo_blumenladen and @saniapell for being that one friend I can always go to before I launch anything and say, „Are you sure this is right?!?“ - thank you Sania for being my creative clairvoyant for over a decade.

Most of all, thank you Annette Levy and Domotex for this wonderful opportunity to work with you. Always a pleasure.
