There’s a BIG difference between variety and randomness.

Your training doesn’t need to be boring.

But if every session is completely different, with no progression, no repeated movements and no way of measuring whether you’re actually improving… what are you training towards?

Runners follow structured programs.
Strength athletes follow structured programs.
Sporting teams follow structured programs.

Your gym training shouldn’t be any different.

You should be able to look back and see:

More weight.
More reps.
Better technique.
Better conditioning.
Better movement.
Actual fucking progress.

Because being exhausted at the end of a workout doesn’t automatically mean the workout was productive.

A workout can destroy you and still take you nowhere.

At The Barbell Project, we still want you working hard. We still want variety. We still want training to be bloody enjoyable.

But there’s a reason behind what we do.

We’re not just trying to make you tired.

We’re trying to make you better.

Want to experience the difference?

You wanted 5 tips. You only need 1.

CONSISTENCY.

Want to get stronger? Be consistent.
Want to get fitter? Be consistent.
Want to get leaner? Be consistent.

The perfect program won’t save you if you only follow it when you feel motivated.

You don’t need to be perfect.
You don’t need every session to be your best.
You just need to keep fucking showing up.

Do that for long enough and you’ll be surprised what you’re capable of. 💪

And if you need somewhere to start:

MIRANDA - this might be the sign you’ve been waiting for. 👊

If you’ve been telling yourself you need to get back into training, get stronger, feel fitter or simply start doing something for YOU… start here.

You don’t need to be fit before you walk through our doors.

You don’t need to know how to squat, deadlift or use every piece of equipment.

And you definitely don’t need to be the strongest person in the room.

That’s what we’re here for.

At The Barbell Project, you’ll train in a coached environment surrounded by everyday people working towards becoming stronger, fitter and more confident versions of themselves.

Walk in unsure.

Walk out knowing you’re capable of more. 💪

No egos. No judgement. No getting lost in a crowded gym wondering what the hell you’re supposed to be doing.

Just good people, proper coaching and training that actually has a purpose.

Stop trying to find the “perfect” workout.

The perfect exercise.
The perfect program.
The perfect supplement.
The perfect time to start.

None of it matters if you haven’t learned how to train properly and consistently.

Learn the basics.
Learn how to move well.
Get stronger at them.
Keep showing up.

Simple doesn’t mean easy — but it fucking works. 💪

And if you don’t know where to start, that’s exactly what we’re here for.

There will ALWAYS be a reason not to start.

“I’ve got kids.”
“I don’t have time.”
“I’m too old.”
“I’ve got bad genetics.”
“I don’t want to get bulky.”

We hear them all.

But every day at TBP, we’ve got real people with jobs, kids, busy lives and different starting points who still walk through the door and get the work done.

You don’t need to be fit before you start.
You don’t need to be strong before you start.
You just need to start.

Let us take care of the rest. 👊

Getting stronger isn’t always about putting another plate on the bar. 💪

More reps.
Better technique.
More control.
Faster bar speed.
The same weight feeling easier than it did a month ago.

That’s progress too.

We’re so quick to chase the next PB that we forget about all the little wins that actually get us there.

Own the weight you’ve got. Then earn the next one. 👊

Want to stop just exercising and actually start getting stronger?

Call it obsessed if you want.

Obsessed with getting stronger.
Obsessed with making progress.
Obsessed with having more energy.
Obsessed with feeling capable.
Obsessed with becoming a better version of yourself.

We don’t train just to look better.

We train because being STRONG makes life better. 💪

And if that’s an obsession… there are definitely worse ones to have.

Day 5 of 60 🎥

Big week of training done. Worked this morning, hit the fitness expo today and now off to dinner.

But first… boots on and doing absolutely nothing for a little while. 😂

We put so much focus on training harder, lifting heavier and doing more, but sometimes the thing your body needs most is the opposite.

Training is the stimulus. Recovery is what allows you to come back and do it again.

Good sleep, nutrition, hydration and managing your training load will always be the foundations — but having somewhere to actually switch off and give the body some attention definitely helps.

It’s one of the reasons we built a Recovery Room at The Barbell Project. Train hard, recover well, repeat. 💪

And tonight I’m definitely practising what I preach. 😂

Want to check out our Recovery Room?
DM us “RECOVERY” and we’ll show you what’s available and how you can get access.

Day 5 done. 55 to go. 🎥
