**OUT NOW** Our next song “In The Night” is coming early Tuesday. After some amazing days of making new music we are so back and feeling revitalized and excited for the future. Still so much to give you, we’re trying to do it right and with intent. Our first song Mad iLL has surpassed 10k listens and it’s just a testament that people are catching on.
The music and you guys deserve that extra care and we’re grateful for the love so far. Look out for that new song early this week it’s a special one!

Battered has been out for a few weeks now and it felt like a good time to reflect on what this song really means to me. Christian wrote this song a while back and we’ve been making music together a long time now. But despite the history it still feels like such an honor to be apart of a song like this. Christian is more than capable of playing and singing this song by himself, but letting me play guitar and sit back while he pours his heart and soul into the words is a testament to how deep our roots have grown. Our first trip to the coast both of us were in very heartbroken state, and we played this song over and over. Looking back on it now it feels like it was the start of a new chapter, the beginning of a process of healing.
All in all, battered was the start of the Temple Strays.

Thank you to our friends and family who continue to be so supportive. Your kind words and messages remind us to keep going

this one stemmed from a place of true pain and anguish. it’s hard to build yourself up sometimes, but i’m proud of myself and our collective for this. i hope you enjoy ♥️

the crux of creation falls upon validation more often than not. working towards a space of being heard & negating self doubt. it seems, at times, that every move you make is second guessed. it’s a constant battle that’s never won.

the vulnerability of being creative and sharing the deepest, darkest parts parts of yourself is both invigorating and debilitating.
seeking reassurance for what? and by who?

where does it start and stop?
is recognition ever enough?

i feel like we all just want to be seen at the end of the day. approval from the ones closest to us should be the goal. but these people are the ones that you’ve built up time and time again, and failed in the worst ways.

the cycle is built upon hope & redemption, love & defeat, shame & validation, honor & purpose. we ignore the intricacies that the jaws of mental health and addiction dig into you.

we’re always striving to be better.

about a year ago @cwilzz @deddrose and I went on a spontaneous trip to the coast to make music and just see what we could create. We quickly realized our dynamic was something special and decided this was something we needed to be doing consistently. So every month we spent a weekend in manzanita, finding our sound and collecting more songs than we could have imagined. So here we are a year later, ready to start sharing it all.

Follow us @templestrays to join us on this journey :)

First drop coming mid April :)

Shoutout to my wonderful Aunt for letting us use her beach house as a creative space

A year filled with pure chaos and mayhem but matched with just as much harmony and grace.

Wouldn’t change it for a thing.

Blessed to have so many amazing people in my life.
Much love to you all <3
