Last night at Town Hall Theatre Galway
LIFE SUPPORT.

A powerful, deeply moving and compulsory viewing.

A firsthand record of genocide, told from a place where aid is blocked and journalists are banned and murdered. When no one else can get in, these are the voices that remain.

Through their own eyes and unflinching footage, we witness the heart and humanity of healthcare workers holding it together in the most impossible conditions, bombed out hospitals, with almost nothing left, facing starvation and a constant wave of casualties, so many of them children. It closes with the words of Alaa Alqaisi a beautiful, haunting poem that broke all our hearts read by Irish actor Denise Gough @denisegough1

Such a privilege to hear from Dr Victoria Rose, @rosieplasticsurgeon Professor Nick Maynard @nickmaynard.surgeon and Ala Alqaisi @alaaqalqaisi in the Q&A, moderated by Dr Afif El Khuffash. @afif.elkhuffash

We’re posting this documentary film poster with one simple hope: that it keeps being reposted.
Not for algorithms or for engagement. It’s so that more people see it. And the brave filmmakers get free PR and Marketing in a domain that’s heavily shadow banning this kind of content. (While allowing another)
Please share so that more people witness what is happening to Palestinian people through the eyes of those documenting it, filming it and living it.
Documentary film has always had the power to preserve what power would sometimes rather see forgotten. It creates a record and gives testimony somewhere to live.
It allows people, years from now, to say: we saw this. We knew this was happening.
So I’m putting the poster here.
If you come across it, watch the film. Read about it. Look at the people whose lives it documents. Make up your own mind, but don’t look away.
Let the poster travel further than any one account ever could.

Urgent housing appeal: A mam and her 5 children from Gaza need a wheelchair-accessible 3-bed home in or near Dublin. One child is awaiting critical surgery and stable accommodation is urgently needed. Rental support (up to €2,500/month for 18 months) is available through the Irish Red Cross.

This is a volunteer led appeal.

We are so happy to launch our new Solid Bond school & kindergarten for the children of Campa na Saoirse and the surrounding community of Al-Nuseirat 🇮🇪🫶🏼🇵🇸

This school makes such a difference to our children's lives and to the lives of their parents also.

Our teachers have now returned to their careers and finally get to do what they love, once again.

There is such a wider impact than just education here.

The kids spending their days around each other, away from their tents and away from the monotonous day in, day out reality of life in their camps.

To our dear brother @paulwellerhq for making this possible, we are forever humbled by your generosity and your Solid Bond with the people of Gaza, whom you have stood with throughout their suffering and been a real rock of support to so many 🫂

To our team @mahmoudfouad352 @abdallha_alemrany & @ribhi.banr & everyone who rolled up their sleeves to make this project come to life, we are so proud of you all 🌟

A huge thank you to @nenalucca , @dee_ivafg & everyone who contributed to raising these funds for us earlier this year.

Unfortunately we had phone issues while attempting to deliver this water, and so, in the end, 70,000 litres were actually delivered. We have shown 40,000 which was the initial amount which was intended to be delivered, so it worked out well in the end because an extra 30,000 litres were provided to the community.

We are so grateful to all of you who make this work possible 🙏

Please continue to stand with us while we endeavour to provide more and more aid each month.

Firstly @lauracarrcoaching @lisakendellen & myself did this because we felt this huge (heartbroken) drive to do something. We didn’t feel we had any other choice, but to stand up, use our voice, hearts and every bit of energy to do anything we could & You know what happened, we had the softest landing and the most supportive lean in, from other people were also were desperate to turn heartbreak and despair into hope and real action. 🇮🇪🇵🇸

The first time we sat down with @adrianaholl of @oldstreetdublin and @_elaineryan__ we knew we were in safe and immensely kind hands. They could not have been any more helpful and it meant so much - thank you. Professionalism mixed with warmth and authenticity - I couldn’t recommend Old Street enough, they are amazing.

@dee_ivafg of @irish_visual_artists_for_gaza is the most incredible woman, she opened the door to a wealth of the most talented and aligned artists who do so much more than share their work, it’s their livelihood

We were blown away by the generosity and astounding skill, talent and heart that we have in Ireland.
