POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Six months ago, I crossed my last finish line.

I’ve known for a while that my racing career was coming to a close. Saying it out loud has been a different story.

Snowboarding has been a part of my life for 15 years. It gave me some of the highest highs I’ve ever experienced, some of the hardest moments I’ve ever gone through, and more memories, friendships, places, and lessons than I could ever put into one post.

I spent a long time chasing a dream. Sometimes I reached it. Sometimes I didn’t. But I wouldn’t trade the life I built chasing it.

So, with a lot of gratitude and a little sadness, I’m officially retiring from snowboard racing.

Life looks different now. I have a loving wife, a puppy who keeps me on my toes, a new home to take care of, and a job building things with people I like. There’s a lot of love in this life, and a lot to look forward to.

I still miss racing. I’m learning that I can grieve what’s over and love what’s here. Some days that comes easier than others.

I’m not sure exactly what comes next, but I’m grateful for who I get to share it with.

To my parents: your unwavering support and belief in me made so much of this possible. When my own belief faltered, I could lean on yours. Knowing you were in my corner gave me the courage to keep going through the disappointments, the uncertainty, and the days when I questioned whether I had anything left to give. I don’t know how to put into words what that meant to me. But I know I carried your love and belief into every starting gate. Thank you for helping me keep going, and for loving me through every outcome.

Thank you to everyone who believed in me, supported me, competed with me, coached me, traveled with me, picked me up when I fell, and loved me through all of it.

Thank you, snowboarding. 🏂
