Have you ever heard of the term 'The Purple Effect'? They say it's the solid impact of colour purple, that is generated when the calming stability of blue 💙 and the stimulating energy of red ❤️ are combined together. The picture represents the same for me. No wonder that we both, the calm and composed 'me' and this firey energetic goofball create quite a 'purple effect' in our own way 💜. . Yesterday I noticed this long neglected pot that was once a real beauty, tucked behind some tall plants with bone-dry soil and the stems going haywire. I slept through the night with the determination of tackling this one asap. Despite this exceptionally hot April afternoon with desperate longing for some rains, I managed to find some tolerable minutes to take this job on. I guess gardeners have an extra layer of skin and some extra willpower too, coz it took me all that and more today. Finally, very happy to see this gorgeous vintage style beautiful pot sitting on that shelf. This beautiful celebration of fun frolic, food, and colors is captured at the annual Gwalior mela this year. Out of the umpteen times I have been here this was the first time where it actually felt life luxury. As kids it just used to be joy, laughter, and fun for us... but visiting this after more than 2 decades, that too with my daughter, made me realize that these joys of life were the real ones. This whole experience was like time travel to me... We humans grow up and apart but these places remain just the same. Standing tall and bright... celebrating life as a carnival. .
