Camp Glass 2026!!!! @camp.glass

I decided to spend my birthday weekend in northern Washington at a stained glass camp and omg was it the best decision ever! Such a fun weekend of meeting new people and creating art and frolicking in the woods, I already can’t wait to go back :)

What an incredible weekend making stained glass in the Washington mountains. 🩶

Highlights include:
• meeting & making friendships with many talented artists and fellow glass nerds
• exploring downtown Spokane (including the Garbage Goat, iykyk)
• enjoying the serene outdoors and soaking up the delightfully chilly Washington climate
• visiting the @northwestmuseum and their stunning armory exhibit. Inspiring me into sketching a slew of new medieval glass designs. Stay tuned lol.
• and saving the best for last: my first ever lead panel!! AHH! This 7 hour intro class was lead by the talented @culottacreations and was honestly harder than I anticipated (and I didn’t think it would be *easy* to begin with lol) overall I learned A LOT and I’m excited to expand upon this new skill set to further hone my craft, and be able to make bigger, more intricate works. Including full, weather proof windows!

Thank you to @camp.glass & @spokanestainedglass for coordinating a great event!

Meet The Mosaic Workshop: Randi 🧚⚔️
Studio Assistant
IG: @deeploredesigns

A born-and-raised Austinite, Randi discovered mosaics just over a year ago after taking an Intro Class here at the workshop! One mosaic led to another, and before long she made the leap from corporate life to pursuing art full-time.

🎨 Since then, she’s participated in pop-up markets, gallery shows, and joined the workshop team as both a teacher and studio assistant. Her work draws heavily from fantasy, folklore, fairy tales, making each of her pieces truly magical 🔮

🛼 Before mosaics, Randi spent time as a roller derby skater under the name Widowmaker. These days she’s into tabletop games, rewatching The Lord of the Rings, playing the flute, or hanging out with her three beloved pets.

Fun fact: Her favorite medieval siege weapon is Grond, and her favorite trees are Silver Birch and Southern Magnolia. 🌳

Come say hi to Randi next time you’re in the studio! ✨

I’m so grateful for our glassy community! Kate and Spike @flattailshop just gifted me all these amazing solid wood plugs from their stained glass lamp frames that I’m SO excited to mosaic on! What should I mosaic on them? I’m feeling some vibrant cathedral windows, but would love to hear what you see! 😍

Thank you guys so much again for the wood and the scrap glass (HOLY MOLY ❤️‍🔥)! I love partnering with fellow Austin artists who are also down with recycling 💚♻️💚

Also if you haven’t checked out their new page and website make sure you do! Their premade stained glass lamp frames are gorgeous, easy to use, and locally made 🥰
