🎨 BEHIND THE ART OF ‘DARKNESS IS MY CROWN’

In this video, the amazing @nestoravalosofficialblackarts takes you behind the scenes of creating the cover for our latest album Darkness Is My Crown. It all began with Sandie the Lilith presenting the themes and vision for the album - From there, Nestor worked his magic 🪄

Watch the video to hear and see his artistic process from raw concept to final masterpiece! 🩸

Massive thanks to Nestor for visualising our darkness!

Today, three of our bands are hitting the road and kicking off their European tours - and April is looking absolutely relentless.

Carnivore A.D. launch their “Transmutation – Release Tour (Part I)” tonight at Inferno Festival in Oslo (NO), before tearing through Scandinavia, Germany and the Netherlands until April 10. At the same time, Defacing God begin the “Metalized” tour in Aarhus (DK), bringing their dark force across Denmark throughout April. Meanwhile, This Ending also kick things off tonight in Hamburg (DE) as part of the “Swedish April Assault”, joining forces with The Duskfall, Evilon and Butcher’s Curse for a crushing run across Central Europe until April 11.

Three bands, three different tours, one mission: total devastation across Europe. Check the flyers for all dates and don’t miss them when they hit your city. # carnivoread #defacinggod #thisending

With every release, we aim to use a new vinyl color or something distinctive - whenever it fits the concept. The limited pearl flip / horizon vinyl edition of the new Defacing God album „Darkness Is My Crown“ turned out absolutely stunning! #defacinggod #blackmetal #deathmetal #vinylcollection

🔥 Are you our new stand-in drummer? 🔥

Defacing God is looking for a replacement who can step in on the drums from the middle of this year (2026) to the end of 2027 (maybe longer)

Michael Olsson has chosen to take a longer break, to prioritize his family and especially his little new son. All respect for that!

We’re looking for a temporary replacement who also want to put their mark on our third future album (2027) and can represent our soon to come album Darkness Is My Crown with dignity! 💿

We’re kickin’ off our album release tour in Denmark in April where Michael will do his last duty before a longer break from live shows so this is also your last chance to see Michael live the coming time!

We have several foreign shows on the map for the summer 2026 and more shows for winter 2026 will be announced soon! 🔥

We need someone who fundamentally understands what Defacing God’s vision is and can represent what we stand for with dignity. If you know you know.

Interested? ⤵️
Please present yourself with video material in an e-mail here: dg@defacinggod.dk

Takes one to know one!

DEFACING GOD performing Bark At The Moon in Aalborg may 2024 as a tribute and final goodbye to the father of Sandie the Lilith.

Sandie says:

“Sharing this moment as a reminder today and as a tribute to Ozzy who has served his duty for more decades than I have even existed. A true legend and my ultimate hero, besides my father (R.i.p) 🖤

Ozzy was a part of my father’s DNA.

Ozzy is in my DNA.

Thank you for the music and your character @ozzyosbourne - My love for you is ETERNAL 🫶🏻 Goodbye Ozzy, goodbye @blacksabbath “

The last few years have been eventful for Aalborg based @defacinggod with shows all over Denmark as well as Europe, including @copenhell in 2023 and tours with @illdisposed_official. The band is working on the follow-up to their debut album 'The Ressurection of Lilith' from 2022 which is set to release in 2026. 🔥

Defacing God play blasphemous symphonic black/melodeath metal with lyrics based in history, folklore, witchcraft, and the occult, delivered with ferocious vocals and a relentless live performance that we cannot wait to witness when they play @raiseyourhornsdk 2025.🤘
