February so Far…
Each week, we open up the shop’s decks through Dig + Disconnect and Selector Saturdays — two listening-first programs that extend our education + community work into the real world.
Last week/end, the tables were held down by @deja.lanique, @shaleahkcurates, @ozlenda_ , @ryansinclairedavis and @2brown4u — with a few familiar faces from our Miyagi Education cohorts in the mix. Come through each week to catch burgeoning talent, deep listening, and the kind of room where people grow in public (without the pressure).
Join us this Friday for Dig + Disconnect w/ @fathomdj @sunshinerewind__ , and Saturday for Selector Saturdays w/ @st3xven

Meet Your February Selectors 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾

Selector Saturdays is where we hand the turntables to a guest selector and let them stretch out — no requests, no pressure, no play the hits. In clubs and bars you usually get a version of a DJ built for the room.

Here, you get the full range: the records they collect, study, and truly love. This program often features Miyagi Education grads stepping into the booth, sharing what they’ve been building, and going deep in their own voice — alongside seasoned local DJs and community partners. It’s a space for selectors to tell a story, and a space for listeners to slow down and take it in.

The road ahead may not be paved, but

Sonic Resistance 1 in the books thank you @bigheart.bigbrain @wyungfilms for inviting me on to curate a course on active and attuned listening. A midwest based residency. Inspired in good company to say the least.
