Introducing our EIC: Deja Tipton!⚡️🎂

Deja joined Strike as the Finance Director her Freshman year of college saying, “I was craving a space like Strike. Something that made individuality feel powerful instead of something to hide.”

Since then she has acted as a talented compassionate leader, what she cares about the most in this role is making Strike a safe space, “A place where you can create freely, take risks, and feel proud of what you have to say. A place where you don’t have to filter yourself to fit in.”

Outside of Strike, Deja is a student at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where she studies HR! Deja is a multi-passionate creative individual who enjoys reading, photography, creating art, and spending time in her community!✨

And today, we’re celebrating Deja for another reason, it’s her birthday! 🥳 We’re so lucky to have her creativity, compassion, and leadership as part of the Strike family.

My last issue with strike is all done! I couldn’t be more grateful to this team. This issue has felt so special and magical because of y’all. I’m so happy I got to be a part of admin especially with Simone, Deja, and Kat. Can’t wait to see what is next for these insanely talented artists. Thank you for the love and memories! Peace out @strikemagazinechatt
