Portland based artist @othr_wrld is a staple of the Pacific Northwest and is for the DANCERS. Her sets exemplify sonic control and are a unique blend of high tech psychedlia, hypnotic tempo shifts, and moments of bliss. We were first captivated by her abilities as a DJ at a party called subchannel in SF, where she turned the entire room into an amorphous organism, dancing together and navigating the journey as one. OTHRWRLD is the founder of Club Liminal, an event in Portland that centers the artistry of Trans/POC musicians and dancers. It is also described as a portal "dedicated to deep sonic spiritual journeys". Check out one of our favorite releases by her, "Divine Summoning", which was released on @delusional_records (one of our favorite California based record labels). OTHRWRLD will perform a highly anticipated live set at Everything in Color on Saturday night ❤️

No @sigilradio this month, but here’s a look back at some of my fave tracks from the last one 😎 My April Reaction Hour show gave focus to the work of @the_sound_sculptress, @delusional_records, forthcoming @erbiumrecords bits, and other dub-techno-breaks adjacent sounds. Will be back for June in the new studio digs! Full set is already on YouTube and Soundcloud, and I’ll share the full tracklist soonz 🫡 big up all the producers making the music that makes my brain go “WOMWOMWOM” 🫨

Surreal to say the records are here and in hand. It’s hard to put this journey into words because in reality it started at the piano when I was 3 years old. Music has been my place of flow and escape for many years, but only recently did I find the courage to start a journey of sharing it with other people. Making art of any kind is an insane thing to do - I marvel at all of us who bring creations large and small into this world. For me I have to say thank you to a few people who made it possible for me to keep it moving when i was stuck and to celebrate when i broke through. Crew 🩵(u know who u r !!) @sssha_smirnova , @sixmissing , @olivercolunga , @datadata for the yrs of encouragement and feedback, @the_sound_sculptress not only for taking a chance on me but for the invaluable mentorship throughout, and Matt who heard and cheered on every iteration of every track including the ones that no one will ever hear lol. This was my first time releasing any kind of music and I’m just sharing some of the random bits of inspiration along the way. Things that carried me through, and vibes that ultimately formed this project I’m calling mother. I hope to make more music that continues to bring such brilliant musicians, dancers, djs, and artists into my life. So that’s that - we are officially slingin vinyl! You can buy yours at the bandcamp link in bio 💜💜💜. Mix: @danny_goliger Master: @estle.phase Remix: @laenzzz Album art: @ashfarrand.design Writing: @janus.rose PR: @thelightprmusic
