THIS. | AMSTERDAM

With unrivaled views over the IJ, direct access to a lush green waterfront and a Hidden Garden, THIS. combines the bustling urban energy with the more serene surroundings of Amsterdam-Noord.

This new vibrant spot shows what waterfront living and working should look like. Openings between the office and residential buildings provide optimum sun orientation and fantastic views, with a Hidden Garden connecting the gardens with a playful network of footpaths winding between the trees, ornamental grasses and perennials.

In the summer of 2025, this intimate and peaceful spot in the city will be completed.

VALERIUS | AMSTERDAM

The pocket park in Amsterdam-Zuid shines in all its beauty, even in this season. One of our planting experts went by to take this beautiful shots. A rich mix of plants, carefully composed, creates a fitting sense of space and a true seasonal experience.

Our designs are rooted in the endless variety of nature, with plants at the heart of every composition. Can you identify one of the species included in this project?

CENTRAL LIBRARY | ROTTERDAM

As one of the city’s most iconic landmarks, easily recognizable by its bold yellow pipes, the transformation of the Central Library will bring both the building and its surroundings in line with contemporary standards of sustainability. The area will be reimagined as a vibrant, welcoming green space where visitors can relax.

The future of the Central Library of Rotterdam is one of openness: accessible and welcoming to all. The boundary between indoors and outdoors will be blurred. – Rogier Hendriks

URBAN FOREST AT HEIGHT | AMSTERDAM

The Pulse welcomes the first urban forest at height in Amsterdam.
Need to unwind in the bustling Zuidas? That will soon be possible in the new urban forest on the tenth floor of ‘’The Pulse of Amsterdam‘’.

This week we are already planting the trees at a height of no less than 35 metres.

Green is the new gold! Green reduces heat, provides for climate adaptation and, at this scale, creates a significant contribution to biodiversity within this highly urbanised area.

‘’What is unique about The Pulse is that we present greenery in a powerful and future-proof way. No trays on pots but a vast continuous landscape of trees nestled between two towers. Only in this way do we create great impact for people and animals. This on a neighbourhood and city scale‘’. Steven Delva

A meeting place for people and animals, right on the Zuidas. It reduces heat, retains water and increases biodiversity. But this public function simply provides: happiness of life. The building envelope is circular, The Pulse of Amsterdam will receive BREEAM Outstanding certification upon completion and aims to achieve WELL Platinum certification. Ambitions for sustainability and liveability is set on: ‘exceeding everything’.

WOODLAND | DURBUY

The homes have their basis in the existing context. The future homes, entirely wood-constructed, will be built on a base of local natural stone. Firmly anchored on the hillside, the light constructions will rise, shaping a play of horizontality and verticality amidst the many trees.

WOODLAND | DURBUY

A residential development as a catalyst for natural development - that’s what the project in Durbuy represents.

DELVA embarks on a forest project in the Walloon Ardennes, seizing the opportunity presented by the arrival of 204 residential units in Durbuy to protect and nurture a burgeoning forest into maturity. With a focus on unity and environmental stewardship, DELVA prioritizes landscape preservation and ecosystem development over residential construction. Collaborating with stakeholders like Alychlo, MULTIPLE architecture & urbanism, and Arcadis, the project aims to harmonize human habitation with nature’s rhythm.

FROM MARBLE TO GREEN

...that was the recent headline in Het Financieele Dagblad about DELVA’s projects on the Zuidas in Amsterdam.

Now it also becomes visible. The progressive concepts about how nature-inclusive construction is actually possible are now also being realised. The Pulse project is the first to emerge. The many trees that will soon form the micro-forest at a height of 42 meters are already on their way.

You can now listen to how DELVA, together with VORM Holding and EDGE Technologies, makes the impossible possible in the podcast VORM & Inhoud (in Dutch) via link in bio.

Follow our socials so you don’t miss the spectacular planting of greenery. 👍🏽
