IT’S A DIFFERENT WORLD | A @demarcusmcg original ✨✨

If you’ve ever been to my home you’ve seen this painting 🥹

One of my favorite shows is back and when I say it is GOOD! You can tell a lot of care and love went into the show. If you’re a fan I highly recommend checking out the Netflix sequel.

From the characters, plot lines, seeing Hillman and the familiar spots they had on the show brought all the feelings! I find it very hard for anyone to not like the reboot. Every essence of the original is in this sequel 🥹❤️

@demarcusmcg did an amazing job incorporating two of my favorite shows.

When we opened Heath Gallery in 2002, we had no idea where it would take us. The people we’d meet. The artists we’d get to know and work with and the breadth and depth of the community we’d have the privilege of serving.

This weekend, Harlem One Stop stopped by three events celebrating the neighborhood’s culture, creativity and community.

Harlem Book Fair brought together authors, publishers and readers for a celebration of Black literature and culture.
Charlie Parker Jazz Festival filled Marcus Garvey Park with live jazz while honoring the legacy of Charlie “Bird” Parker.
“We’re Outside” Group Art Exhibit brought 28 contemporary artists together for an afternoon of art, music and creativity in the park.

CJ Priester aka the Part-time Homebody was outside yesterday!! And yayy what a time!! The art was incredible! The vibes were powerful! There was jazz, jerk chicken, and portrait making!!

Two wise artists said we have to remember to “honor the people you meet on your journey” and “inspire others to inspire others,” and I would like to pass that wisdom on to you!

As my summer starts to wind down I’m so happy I made it to “We’re Outside” presented by the MMPCIA and Heath Gallery.

One of the things I love about bringing art outside is that anybody (you) can be randomly strolling across the lawn, look over and see something that draws them in. Those moments are #chefskiss for me.
