ARIZONA!

and I thought Texas was hot… humbled.

Always an incredible time with these wonderful people! I always say, it was the reporters who taught me everything!

Steno in the city retreat 2026 was an absolute success! I will hold these memories dear and continue to do what we can to advocate and protect the record!

After a few years away, it felt great to be back at CAALA Vegas. Had an awesome few days with the Coalition crew — catching up with attorneys and clients we’ve worked with over the years, meeting some new people, and running into plenty of court reporters along the way. The 9-3 Verdict Challenge was a lot of fun, but the best part was getting to spend time with so many good people in and around the profession. Great weekend. See you next year, CAALA.

Graduation is one of those beautiful full-circle moments that reminds you just how far you've come. ❤️

My mentor introduced me to an incredible student in the beginning of her steno school journey and I had the privilege of walking alongside her, encouraging her through every speed bump, every test, every moment of doubt... and now, I get to celebrate her graduation. 🥹

One thing I've learned is that we can't wait until graduation to celebrate. Celebrate the failed test you came back from. Celebrate the new speed you reached. Celebrate showing up when you wanted to quit. Celebrate the small wins, because they are what make the big wins possible. Graduation isn't just one moment, it's the result of hundreds of moments where you chose not to give up.

Even more special? Her steno bestie crossed that stage right beside her.🤞🏽

Let this be your reminder: Find your steno bestie. Find your accountability partner. The person who celebrates your wins, picks you up after a failed test, reminds you why you started, and refuses to let you quit. Success is so much sweeter when you don't walk the journey alone.

Every single Plaza College court reporting student who graduated already has a job offer waiting. Think about that for a second...

What other career has employers searching for you before you even graduate?

That doesn't happen by accident. It's a testament to Plaza College's unwavering support, dedication, and commitment to its students. They don't just prepare stenographers to pass tests. They prepare them for successful careers.

To my mentee, your hard work paid off, and I couldn't be prouder of you.

Please help me in congratulating the entire 2026 Plaza College graduating class. The profession is lucky to have you. And I am so excited to now call you my colleagues🎓

I am incredibly honored and grateful to Plaza College's School of Court Reporting for awarding me the Legacy of the Profession Award at their 10th Annual Symposium and for trusting me to serve as this year's keynote speaker. This year's theme was "A Decade of Distinction."

This day became even more special & distinct because I had the opportunity to hold my very first book signing for "Melody's Magical Steno Machine." Watching children, students, and fellow stenographers embrace a book that was written to inspire the next generation of our profession was one of the most emotional moments of my life.

Thank you, Plaza College, for believing in my mission and allowing me to be part of such a meaningful day. My heart is so full, and I'm leaving inspired to continue serving, advocating for, and growing the future of stenography.

Night 1: (Friday) Reasonable Doubt

NYC owes me nothing!

I had the time of my life celebrating Hov.

Screaming at the top of my lungs, dancing, vibing with other attendees, staying out until 3 a.m. on a Friday night, creating memories with friends…. Summer of ‘26 is one for the books.

✨📚 SHE’S HERE… and my heart is so full. 🥺💜

Introducing my very first children’s book...
Melody's Magical Steno Machine 🦄✨🎶

This story was inspired partially by my court reporting school journey working overnight decorating cakes at Wal-Mart, pushing through court reporting school, passing speed tests, fighting self-doubt, and refusing to give up… all while my child watched me chase a dream...

Melody's Magical Steno Machine is more than a children’s book… it’s a love letter to every hardworking mama, every child who is watching, and every dreamer doing hard things when nobody’s watching.

Through magical steno keys, midnight practice sessions, mirror affirmations, and a little girl’s big dreams, I hope this story inspires families everywhere to believe that hard work, faith, and perseverance create real magic.
