POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Today we’ve hosted a photography session with @denisailie and the Norfolk Museums’ Teaching Museum trainees.

They’ve photographed a range of items to test their skills, such as Victorian @norwich_school school caps, tiny spectacles, printing blocks, a horse hair heckle and this BABY from the store that once resided on the site of Turtle Bay restaurant on Bedford Street.

We want to name our new little chap - shout out your best 1950s suggestions…

How about Baby Bernard?

ID: a 1950s shop mannequin of a bonnie baby, with a cute little curl on his forehead.

My time at @norwichuniarts has officially come to an end…

Having moved to Norwich for university back in 2019, with 4 years on my BA and an additional 2 years on my MA, I am now coming towards the end of this chapter and my time in Norwich.

Very grateful for all of the support I’ve received recently, I have learnt and grown so much during my creative adventures at NUA and I’m so thankful for my peers who got me through 🫶🏻

I’m looking forward to seeing what new opportunities 2027 brings with my move to Sheffield and I’m very excited to keep working on @lookatus_now with our team 📸

‘Lure of the Underground’ is an energetic and lively interiors print collection, visually communicating the nostalgia of vintage London Transport. This project translates the excitement and vibrancy of 1920s Transport for London, pulling inspiration from Art Deco transport posters and moquette history to build the aesthetic of the designs. With personal connection embedding within the theme, this collection centres around my childhood travels from the countryside to the city, interpreting journey across rural landscapes into urban surroundings through the view from inside a train.

BEAUTY OF DECAY: the loss and the forgotten, showing the perfections of imperfections patterns through decay and human decay. Taking the physical feeling of brokenness and feeling unloved and showing the beauty that intertwine and blossoms while feeling like this. Showing that these feeling don’t define the beauty within and on the surface.

Had the most amazing opportunity to get our final collection photographed by @denisailie thank you so much for capturing the beauty of my project and visualising the venerable feeling towards our imperfections and the changes of decay. Thank you @norwichuni_textiledesign for setting it up and making it possible for this opportunity. Truly am grateful.
