Back to our winning ways!!! After an awesome stint, @therealsamcraven handed the 94 off to @kentonkoch who made a late race pass to secure the win in the Pro-Am class. In the Silver class, the 98 of @bruno_colombo_racing and @joshgoesracing climbed through the ranks to finish in 3rd thanks to another late race pass. Unfortunately, the 188 of @denny.stripling and @judsonholt fought off a gremlin in the car robbing them of a podium finish, but still brought it home in 5th in the Am class.

Race 2 is tomorrow at 1:35 CST - be sure to tune in on the @gt4america @youtube channel. The cars roll off the grid as such ⬇️

#98 - P4 in the Silver class
#94 - P3 in the Pro-Am class
#188 - P1 in the Am class

NLS9 - the only time I’ve raced in heavier rain was the SCCA Runoffs in 2023 in a hurricane 🌀
.
Judson started the race in the dry (and set a new PB lap time 👏) and it started raining late in his stint while he was on dry tires (🤠). Then Denny ran a mixed conditions stint on rain tires which as much an effort in tire preservation as it was in pace. Both did a great job of surviving challenging conditions and we all learned how much we can push in the ever changing Eifel weather.
.
I ran the final 90 minutes in what started as “moderate rain” which turned to full biblical levels of rain. The hydroplaning was intense and tbh I’ve never been more mentally worn out after a stint. I think I almost crashed somewhere between 10 and 97 times sometimes hydroplaning at less than 100kph. But we survived to finish P4 overall in SP10 and P2 🥈 in SP10 AM. This was my first wet stint in an NLS race and I now have good data and video to help me improve and make the car better in the wet. Overall it was a ton of fun even though it was a bit terrifying for most of the time 😂
.
Thank you to @teamblackfalcon @alessandro_volpato_ @fernandoruckle for the incredible support all season and to @moritzsamson for dealing with my ever changing mood during the rain stint 😂 . It’s been great racing with all of you this season.

NLS 8 and 9 - our final ride for 2026 in Tex! We’ve had a blast racing with @avracingbyblackfalcon and @teamblackfalcon this year.
.
We had a weekend of highs and lows. We had new personal best lap times for three of our drivers, good qualifying, and P2 on Sunday in SP10 AM in the crazy wet conditions. Our race on Saturday didn’t go as planned. We were in a good position after the start sitting P2 in SP10 when we picked up a puncture in the right rear tire. The car was OK, but we had to pull off track and weren’t able to get the car back to pit lane so we didn’t even complete a lap in the race. But that’s racing sometimes!

Not a bad Race 1 for the GT4 cars this afternoon! Thomas Merrill did an awesome job filling in for Kenton Koch and brought the car home in 2nd place. After battling for several laps, Josh Green made the pass that brought 98 car onto the podium. And the 188 car fought back to a 4th place finish after starting in last place due to a mechanical issue with the car in qualifying. Looking forward to carrying this moment forward into tomorrow’s Race 2! Come join us for the Autograph Session @ 11:30am and tune into Race 2 at 1:10pm CST.

The rain has stopped.
The track is drying.
And now comes the hardest decision in racing…
Wet tires or slicks?
Experienced SCCA Spec Racer Ford drivers Denny Stripling and Dave Ogburn prepare for the start while trying to predict what the track will do next.
Because in racing, the wrong tire choice can end your race before Turn 1.
