The job is done. 🥇🥁

What an ageout. It really took me a while to put together the words and feelings I had for this season, but all I can say is what an amazing season to cap off my drum corps career.

Huge shoutout to each and every one of the staff members of the Bloopit. All of the staff members were incredible to work with, very knowledgable, and just great people to learn from. I definitely wouldn’t be the musician and person I was today without a lot of their guidance.

Massive shoutout and much love to Tom Rarick for writing amazing books every year and trusting me to bring your music to life.

Huge thanks to Allen Justus who really was a second father figure to me during the summer. I’m really thankful for you taking a chance with me in 2024, and I’m grateful that you see me as a friend now. Thank you for really trusting me in taking the role as the Bluecoats Drum Set Player. I can’t wait to see Jr. eventually take the throne.

And of course, much love to the Bloopit for being my family during the summer. I’m honored to have performed my heart out with every member of this front ensemble, and I can’t wait to see the age-outs move on to greater ventures in their life, and the younger members still marching to inspire the next generation of the Bloopit, just as older Bloopits inspired me.

3 words.

Thank you, Bloopit.

week 9!!!

TEXAS TOUR LETS GOOO!!!

tuesday we did a show in New Mexico. the wind once again was not on the bccg side and kept fighting with us all day. most windy show of the season so far but we stayed pushing!

then just a rehearsal day on wednesday. we added more body under our tosses and did tons of cleaning.

we had dci denton on thursday then dci houston on friday. at both shows I was sweating so much omg. my equipment felt like it was gonna literally slip out of my hands.

saturday we finally got an indoor show for the san antonio regional at the Alamodome. the whole guard was definitely grateful to be free from the wind for one show lol. i also got to see my twin Marco and they got me some redbull 😛. literally needed that so bad.

sunday was the san antonio free day at the riverwalk. we didn't go there last season so I was really excited to go back. watched a movie then did lots of shopping.

finished the week off with our last rehearsal in texas on monday. it was a pretty short day and we stayed inside in sectionals the whole time. the space we used was so small we had to take turns between the weapons and flags rehearsing. i was definitely struggling to stay locked in unfortunately because we only got like 2.5 hrs of floor time 🥲.

it's weird that I just finished my last ever texas tour. I always love this part of tour and I'm sad to leave it. now on to little rock! 6W🍁
