DNA Ash & Derek here!

We’ve got a small group of friends together to go out to the Oak Harbor Roller Barn tonight for their Haunted House. One of the best in the Pacific Northwest in our opinion. It’s way longer, very intricate and supports our fellow roller skate family!

Here’s the details below:

Who:
Skate Fam & Friends

What:
Haunted House and Skating

Where:
Oak Harbor Roller Barn
98 NE Barron Dr, Oak Harbor, WA 98277

When:
Haunted House between 6-7 (no pun intended 🤷‍♂️ lol)

How: We’re planning to take the ferry from Mukilteo around 5pm and planning to meet at RollerBarn around 6pm.

It’s going to be a FrightNight to remember! We’re looking forward to seeing anyone there who joins us! The Roller Barn

My first win at Maryhill! It was an amazing race that was so close I really didn’t even know who won. I was so happy how exciting it was for the crowd. As always the @maryhillratz put together an insanely fun event, thank you so much for the support from all the volunteers that make this happen, it’s a lot of work. Thank you Miles @rhythm_of_wheels for working your magic on the timing a crucial system for the weekend. Thank you Attilia for managing our inline team and the endless love and support you give me, I love you so much. I am so happy to ride with you down your first Maryhill runs. Gabe @gabe.holm you pushed me to do things I never thought possible, thank you for keep pushing me to be better rider. Love riding with the inline crew, thank you Attilia @emeraldvalleyvolva, Derek @dna_skate_school , Aslie @no_h_aslie , Cameron @by_the_cshore , Dan @seattleweeklyskatesession, Ira @i.r.a.210 ,D Rock @drock153 , Kristena, and Crystal @nadda2lose always happy you are all there. Another Maryhill done. Always a blessing to come together with friends and community to ride the hill. Words can't express how much this means to me, downhill will always hold a special place in my heart 💙

1 week down of teaching in a new position/my 8th year of teaching: cryin, survivin, vibin 🫠

Most challenges in life get easier with time, but I’ve somehow switched/adapted into a new teaching position every year for the past few school years (thankfully, still at the same school).. just getting better at being a chameleon I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️

WNS FEST Year 5: Huge thank you to our food & drink sponsors! Everyone is local to the PNW and support what we do as a community. Thanks to them we were able to supply coffee and tacos to all of the skaters for free! Give them some love back and check them out sometime! Here are some behind the scene looks at morning set up and lunch time.

@ladroroasting Lynnwood - Provided cold brew coffee for our WNS Fest crew & set up volunteers! “Fueling derby, skaters, and the PNW, one cup at a time.”

@countryfarmsedmonds - Donated all of the ingredients needed for the tacos so that we could feed everyone for free.

@doubleddmeats - Gave us a steep discount on high quality meat.

Thank you you to all of the skaters who helped plan the event and set up!
