I’m not going to lie, this one caught me by surprise! But what an incredible announcement for our wrestling community!

🔥 CHERRY CREEK HIGH SCHOOL HAS OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED ITS GIRLS WRESTLING PROGRAM!

The program is active immediately, the women’s head coaching position has been posted, and interviews are starting soon!

Let’s talk about why this is such a BIG DEAL!

Cherry Creek is one of Colorado’s most recognizable athletic programs, with tremendous resources, a championship tradition, and a reputation for excellence.

And now girls wrestling gets the opportunity to become part of that tradition!

Khabib Nurmagomedov & Islam Makhachev. One brotherhood. One legacy. 🦅🔥

Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev share one of the strongest connections in MMA. Both come from Dagestan and were shaped by the same wrestling and combat-sports culture under the guidance of Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.

Khabib became one of the most dominant fighters in UFC history, retiring undefeated at 29-0 and leaving the sport as a former UFC Lightweight Champion. After Khabib’s retirement, Islam continued the legacy. He eventually captured the UFC Lightweight Championship and became one of the division’s most dominant champions.

Islam later moved up to welterweight and captured a second UFC title, becoming a double champion and adding another major chapter to the legacy. 🏆🏆 He now prepares to defend his welterweight title against Ian Machado Garry at UFC 330.

Their story goes beyond being teammates. Khabib helped guide Islam throughout his UFC journey, while Islam carried the legacy of their team into a new generation.

We both wanted a baby for so long, but I never truly realized that it also meant becoming a mother — and just how much motherhood would complete me. In a way, I always felt like one, even back when it was just our three fluffy dog babies. Being a mom is something I never knew I needed so deeply until the moment they laid him on my chest. From then on, everything felt so natural, like this is exactly what I was meant for. My life feels whole with Melo in my arms. And now, becoming engaged on Mother’s Day makes this day even more special to me. Truly feeling so blessed and grateful for this beautiful life and love we’ve built together. 💍🫶🏻🥹👶🏽 @deron_winn
