FIRST ALBUM SINGLE IS OUT NOW. “Burnin” featuring @shallou 🔥

You may recognize this song as the opening track to @lane8music’s recent Winter Mixtape.

Now, it’s officially yours.

With this song we formally present the world of the album: a gritty, glistening, cyberpunk city, inspired by my love of science fiction.

Head to my story to listen 🖤

It’s seriously special to look around and move through and be in relationship to this classroom space every day and feel like I have so many people in here with me who have made such profound impact on my life and who’ve become part of this traveling team that comes with me to any teaching space I set up. I can’t put more than ten pictures up here and there’s countless more to lift up and you’re not all on IG but I just had to get on here at some point and say THANK YOU

“I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. That interest evolved into experimental landscape photography, and as of a couple years ago - 3D,” explains Paul Hoi, the mind behind @desertfutures, a page he describes as a “visual diary” to share his growing collection of otherworldly CGI creations.⁣
⁣⁣
“As a landscape photographer, my initial motivation to explore CGI was to make imaginary landscapes. That still feels true, but that motivation has since taken many experimental turns through my other interests in sci-fi, architecture and interior design.” ⁣
⁣⁣
Hoi tries to consistently create new works, aiming to produce one a week while further evolving his style and skills: “I think besides the learning curve of the basic tools and logic of 3D, just sitting in front of a computer after a long day can be hard. Having consistent output is even harder. I'm working on my 75th weekly piece now, and what I'm reminded of every week is that work precedes inspiration, and the confusion, frustration, boredom -- all of which can initially feel like obstacles -- is exactly part of that journey to get better.”⁣
