Getting dogs out of shelters should not be done out of desperation!! There should be a careful plan in place so that the animals are going to a better situation than they were in.

So many times dogs are taken from the shelter only to be forgotten about or to be put in worse situations than they were already in.

In this case two dogs were posted on @mystory_for_a_forever_home so she could try and get them out. An adopter from out of state saw the dogs and saw that they were going to be euthanized that day. She agreed to take them and a rescue was going to pull them. The rescue then put them in boarding with one of their “trusted” people. This guy could not handle the dogs and had no business having them at his house. I was called over to see if I could get the dogs in crates so they could be taken to their neuter appointments. I got them both in crates but while there I felt incredibly unsafe because of the people on the property. The living conditions and the amount of neglect there was so bad. I immediately called animal control when I was back safely in my car. I notified the networker, the adopter and the rescue what was going on there. This whole mission was incredibly stressful for me but thankfully the dogs were removed from the property. If you’re a rescue and you have dogs boarding at a ‘facility’ in Perris, CA please check on them and make they aren’t here!

Meet Sasha! The easiest dog we have here.

She’s sweet, she’s mellow and she’s quiet. Not your typical husky 😅

We got her from a hoarding situation out in Fontana when her owner passed away in the home and no one knew about it for five days. Animal control wouldn’t come out and help me and the owners son was so unhinged trying to sell all the animals so I went there at night and started taking who I could. Luckily Sasha made it out of that situation.

Now it’s her turn to find an awesome home! She’s so sweet and she lived with about ten dogs, cats, chickens, pigs, etc at her last home.

If you think you could be a match for her send me a message! If you think your friend could be a match send them this. Thank you!

When you say you’re not taking in any more dogs at the moment but then you see puppies being given away for free and have to help 🫠

She’s a tiny flea infested border collie mix but in good health otherwise. She needs a name. Tell me your suggestions below.

Little corgi update for now. When I have more energy I’ll give another update.

Internally celebrating today that they are all officially spayed and neutered. There’s still four corgis in Texas that I need to coordinate vet care for now but that’s for a different post. 🙏🏻

If you can help with any amount towards their vet care it would be so appreciated. Even a dollar is so helpful!

Some of the adult corgis went to see the vet and it’s not great news. Please, if you can help donate to their care I would so appreciate it! I’m $4000 deep into this rescue so far.

I wanted to formally introduce some of the adult corgis that arrived here from Texas. Again a huge thank you to @yeoman_express_llc for getting them to California safely. That was a huge trip for him to do and drive straight through with them.

They all arrived pretty shut down, terrible on leash and in need of some socialization. They have been getting the work they need and have been opening up and coming out of their shells.

Now we’ve been addressing their medical which is a whole big thing. I’ll save all the details for my next post about them but here’s all their names and photos so when I give you an update on their medical you know which one I’m talking about. 💓
